You were a lucky man that day. That point at the end of the day is I believe a agate basin of the late Paleo period and is a beautiful point. It makes me remember my first Paleo piece, I was working on a farm and the owner cleared some new fields and I decided to hunt them for artifacts and I walked up on a Clovis site. I found 3 nice beautiful Clovis points and several Clovis knives and tools. I have never found anything like that since and I doubt I ever will. 3 Clovis points and a pocket full of Clovis tools in one day will be hard to beat. I still have every piece in one frame telling where I found them. I have been offered several thousand dollars for the frame but keep turning it down. 13:44 really freaking cool, Garys and very similar varieties are very common types to find in OK. I found a site next to a creek somewhere in Central OK and noticed that a large majority of the pieces were made with percussion mainly, and this one that you picked up looks exactly like the ones I've been pulling out of the Gary site. Don't know why they stuck to mainly using percussion to make them, but it leads to quite a hunky piece that has this odd yet prominent midline where the flakes meet in the center.

I seen a comment on another video one person mentioned at dawn/dusk use an LED light to look for arrowheads, they're usually some sort of crystal material that reflects/sparkles? And the led makes it easier to notice at those times of day?
@meandmyshadow62692 жыл бұрын
I could see that being a pretty good method. Seems sensible. I haven't tried it but it might be a great way to help combat those long shadows that you get at dawn and dusk. Thanks for watching and commenting, Andre!
