I am on my fifth Jeep. My older Jeeps were good. I bought a brand new Jeep Wrangler in 2012. It has been full of electronic issues on things I didn't want to begin with. I didn't want any of the nanny systems ( ABS, Roll Mitigation, Traction Control, Cruise Control). I did buy a 1999 Cherokee to back it up, and even with 226,000 miles it is more reliable. I would never buy any newer vehicle now. I don't want the electronics, or electric vehicle. I will buy an old vehicle for a couple thousand, and put a couple thousand more to have a better vehicle. Since I can do my own work, it just makes sense. I could really care less about MPG, or emissions.

Totally agree ... Now, change the oil with HIGH QUALITY oil .... at 2/3 the recommended interval if most of your driving is 'steady-state' long distances at 'highway speeds'; or, at HALF the recommended interval if most of your driving is mostly short distances / 'stop & go' driving. Consider to occasionally use (expensive) Valvoline's "Restore and Protect" oil to remove the oil sludge and 'deposits', etc. from most of the engine internals .... especially for most engines that were made with LOOSE PISTON RINGS ... on just about any engine that was designed (~2015 onwards) to meet the politically "pie-in-the-sky" mandated newer fuel economy standards. Changing the oil often is one hell of a lot LESS EXPENSIVE than a 'too soon' new vehicle, or constant 'early' engine replacement, .... as *astoundingly, MANY* of the new vehicles cannot last more than 50-80K miles !!!!!

They went away from the regular folks and try to turn the brand into a luxury brand something they are not. They producing vehicles with cheap products and to much technology that when it breaks it will cost you a ‘arm & a leg’ to fix. The clientele they want isn’t there.

No one is telling consumers truth. Keep, originally AMC. Then Chrysler bought AMC back in the 80s. Chrysler went bankrupted so government help them pulled them out of bankruptcy. Chrysler again went bankrupted so Mercedes Benz bought them till around 2016/7. However, Fiat of Italian motor in conjunction with Selintis motors purchased Chrysler motors. Now jeeps are all Fiat motors, Italian motor company that does not produce very dependable engines.

Build a vehicle that’s NOT a luxury model, NOT 10-20% marked up, and people will buy. Overpriced to begin with, then Stelantis greed just priced themselves out of the market.

Jeep merged with a company called Stellantis. It's marketing stragity was to cater to the high-end automotive clients at any cost. So, it used the good name to market high priced junk. We see this in many US products that went into global organizations.

Jeep has forgotten to listen to it's main customers, keep it as a 4x4 rugged vehicle instead of making it into a commuting vehicle for the city. Off road is off road. And yes the price has jumped way to high with all of the extras put into it to make it more like a luxury vehicle rather than off road. New CEO will hopefully get back on track. By the way, I had a Jeep Liberty for 18 years and now own a Wrangler 4xe which I full love

I've been wanting to buy a jeep and I tried when I got my last truck and recently tried trading for one but still over charging for jeeps and trade offers were not great. Offered me 4k under blue book and then complemented how clean and nice and then said don't worry about it, it will roll over into the.new loan and said he would give me 1k off sticker price and Offered a tax credit. The funny part is before i drove there i talked with them. Told them my vin sent pictures of a dirty truck and trade offer was 2.5k better, i told them carvana offered more than that so they told me bring it in and we may can give you better deal lol was a way worse deal and in person the truck was washed vacuumed and cleaned, i asked why and they said because it's a 4 cylinder and I said you knew that before I brought it here. Anyways deal wasn't made. I plan trying again this spring and if I can't get a deal maybe I'll buy a bronco

The prices are crazy for anything. I work in the Automotive industry and I will say quality in all vehicles stinks, tons of recalls for all manufacturers, which I bet a big reason is all these junk chips we all get from China. But prices is the major thing and quality is definitely the next.

Good video, for me. Jeep has gotten away from what made them so desirable for me personally. Simplicity, reliability no unnecessary extras at a good price. They focused on trying to appeal to everybody now and now they appeal to nobody. They went from legendary reliability to legendarily unreliable. Prices has skyrocketed and that's all to Stellantis. TJ. Was the last good model. Yeah, I want to own a legendary piece of American history that's no longer owned by an American company or manufactured in the United States (sarcasm) inline 6. AMC ❤ legendary Jeep is a legendary piece of American history that should be treated as such. It's literally won wars and provided Americans with an inexpensive way to travel that was reliable. In my opinion, Jeep is up there with legendary American presidents or generals and should be celebrated as much

Stellantis violated the time-honored engineering principals of KISS - "Keep it simple, stupid". Electronic control? ... how many of your older desktop or laptop computers still 'work' ????; .... and THEN, (for ALL new vehicles) there is the so-called federal fuel economy mandates that led to LOOSE PISTON RINGS - whose 'benefits' are "carbon fouled & stuck piston rings" - that quickly destroy the cylinder walls, AND diluted engine lube oil *viscosity* (and fairly rapid engine bearing destruction - guaranteed) due to all that combustion gas 'blowing-by' those stuck loose piston rings .... all leading to very short in-service life engine & severe degradation of 'reliability'. Not only Jeep; but, MOST ALL new vehicles (world-wide since >2010) are having these problems. Am enjoying my still RELIABLE '02 Jeep Liberty with 250,000++ miles, ... now with a new **'precision remanufactured'** engine ... although many of the usual repair parts are becoming difficult to obtain. My wallet and bank account, thank me.
