This happened in NC. She was celebrated & the area it happened at was not far from the town fictionalized for the Andy Griffin Show, Mayberry North Carolina. What a wonderful Birthday Ruth! I pray my 90 year old grandmother will be here just as long. 1934 until infinity, her memories will be in my heart & I can't wait to celebrate more if God sees fit! My great grandmother died in 1996 when I was in high school and she was born ver early 1900s & her mother was a slave. They ALL lived Long enough to see 90. God is good!

My mom had an officer come to her work on her 45th birthday. She was shocked and mortified! My father is an officer also and she couldn't think of what was going in.
