So Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League - the newest Warner Bros. Games game made by Rocksteady set in the Arkham universe - is an action packed open world RPG looter shooter. It is the sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight (2015). Based on the DC Comics team Suicide Squad, the game follows four supervillains-Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark-who are assembled by Amanda Waller and sent to Metropolis to stop the alien invader Brainiac and kill the members of the Justice League brainwashed by him. The open-world design allows players, either individually or cooperatively, to freely roam Metropolis! Today we're going over the features of the endgame like the new paragon system, or the lack of a gear score, light level or power level - and looking to see if this game is going to be good, and comparing these features to other looter shooter games, such as, Borderlands, Destiny, Anthem, Outriders, Diablo, and The Division! Removal of Gearscore might not be a bad thing, i'm guessing they'll still have it that you progress through the game and get Loot based around your overall Stats, as if Gear Score is a thing. It might just revolve around the Character's Level and Gear that is equipped, it seemed that Items do have Levels or something like that, so there might be something that is getting tracked to tailor the Loot in some form. Otherwise ending up with bad luck and never get the chance to improve would drag one down and be no fun. So there has to be some sort of tracking for progress in terms of that. And since it's not a PvP based game (at least not at launch unless they add that later on, which i think will not happen) Gear Score doesn't matter, but instead it gives you the chance to get ultra lucky and get something great early on and cherrish that the whole game.

Yeah, I hope that they do have some form of scaling involved so the loot can increase overtime just to offer a sense of player progression. Even if we have to manually upgrade them to a new 'tier' or something after we get them, that would be awesome! And you're right, since there's no PvP, there's less need to balance game around a gear score or power level!

The other problem with ditching gear score in this way is that if you get, say, an early sniper with high or max damage, well, you don't need anything else for the rest of the game. People get very confused by gear score, but it doesn't HAVE to keep you out of activities; it just tells you what gear is better. And if there's no score, it's either going to be very difficult to see what's an actual overall improvement, or the improvement is completely lateral: you never do "more" damage, just different types, and dedicated players are likely to be able to cover the few types of damage VERY quickly, leading to lack of a chase. ("Oh, I already have a good acid SMG from the second hour I was playing") It's ... concerning.

I have to admit that I was totally underwhelmed when I saw the first gameplay of this game. When heard the announcement, I was totally hyped but then I almost lost interest in the game. In the last few weeks I was like "Damn, I love those characters, I want to play the story, maybe it's fun", so I took the risk and pre-ordered the PS5 version. After seeing this video, I am totally psyched! You are soooo right with that they have to communicate this! I'm such a sucker for The Division franchise and others. This has the potential to be amazing! So much great loot and they seem to be totally fine with destroying everything in the endgame. This is pure love! For the social squad feature, I'm not sure that's correct when you say that a social squad will keep the gear they *earn* while in a mission as a "guest". The way I interpreted RS's response was that social squad members keep/bring their existing gear with them into your game when they join as a guest. They keep the gear they have "equipped" already before joining.

So, I should've included this in the video as well, that's my bad, but this was in their post about the social squad feature - "The original owners also get a kickback if their characters are used in someone else’s Squad. When they next jump in-game they will receive a small portion of the resources and loot you’ve earned while playing. This is separate from the rewards you earn for yourself, so it doesn’t take away from the loot you’ve earned while playing." So, the person you bring in to your game gets some loot and resources :D So it's both they keep their equipped stuff they had, and they get more loot as well!

Your gun still relies on a higher number, you just gotta squint your eyes harder to see it. Thats literally it. All the numbers and systems that make that score and your guns irrelevant against eachother are still there. All the issues people had with it are still in the game, it's a nonfix. It looks like a derivative mashup of every tired mechanic thats been milked by lazy companies. Color loot in a game not made for it? Check. Forced live service for extra monetization? Check. Uninspired enemy/level design/reliance on basic waves and hordes? Check. What part made it look like a finished product? Where their reveal was mass criticized and they delayed it only to remove a single number from the inventory? Cool. I brought up the color rarities because you talked up how this game appearently has "systems and mechanics games have launched with for years". When it's the most derivative product seen in a while lol. Which is it buddy? Either its super duper innovative OR is showing off mechanics that are decades old and overused? This only takes up 10 minutes max when I comment, sorry if you've been stewing on these for hours. I'd suggest taking your own advice and spending money on games that deserve it, instead of whatever mediocre shlock is rushed out to chase trends.

They literally said you can use whatever gun you want in the game. Hell, they even said that the rarity doesn't even matter depending on how you build your character. At least there is something to grind for. Also, I was saying the weapon rarity with colors has been a thing in games for decades, and it works. It's thrown around so much that it's lost its meaning. And yes it does look like it's gonna be a finished product with a full campaign with a lot of endgame content after the story. They even said they we're gonna be able to unlock costumes by playing a game. It's gonna have loadouts and leaderboards. From what people played from the alpha, it looks like it's not gonna be a buggy mess. It's gonna have a horde mode. Also, the game isn't even out yet, and you're talking as if we haven't seen everything it has to offer. Also, everyone 5 has played the preview, and Alpha says the story and writing is its strong suit.

It's the other way around, though. Common < Uncommon < Rare < Epic < Legendary < Notorious < Infamy. The rarest items are of Infamy rarity. The first infamy items we'll get seem to be inspired by Bane.

Well, in their discord post about the rarities, they did list out Notorious and Infamy Sets last, but then they specifically mentioned "Notorious gear are some of the rarest and, in my opinion, coolest items in the game", so I took that as they are the rarest in the game. But I suppose that wording could leave it open for Infamy Sets to be equally rare!

I honestly thought the same thing, that people might complain about the lack of gear score, and they might have to add an option to toggle it on - assuming it's just a visual change. If they went into the game and changed the actual scaling of items and the world or missions, then it might be a bit harder

Hi! So, endgame is the term we use for the content you can do, or what you can achieve after the main story is complete! Most games will offer some kind of power grind that continues, or fun activities to re-run! Or you can farm for different loot to try out different playstyles! Personally can not wait to play this game, I'm In a mood where I don't wanna play anything cuz every game I have has got extremly boring, been waiting for this game to release for years, glad the endgame isn't going to be like Gotham knights, glad they removed gear score I understand the progression feeling but I hate only playing a game to get a higher gear score and dumping a weapon I enjoy using, it's why the division let me down loved the game but gear score ruined it for me, huge W on rocksteady and the hate it gets isn't justified just really wish the hate didn't get to the developers, they did a good job with this game see you all out there squad

​@@MrJaysI think it has a Horde Mode or something similar to it. Haven't played the game in years so my memory is a bit rusty on that. But I do remember playing 2 different horde or horde-like modes. One is where you have to protect a central console. Every 5 waves or so you can extract or continue to get better rewards and the second one is where you have to defend multiple points or something. I don't think the game has a tradition horde mode where you just fight endless waves of enemies.

As far as we know, there will be different types of brainiac's forces, like the snipers, the big brutes, the fodder enemies, and more. I do hope they can add as many enemy types as they can so it doesn't get too boring! But I'm used to killing same guys over and over in other looter shooters lol

Was thinking 6/8 months at the most and thats only due to those who love looter shooters will keep playing it. The gameplay looks boring to me. Doing the same thing over and over for hours and hours yeah great fun 😂

Hey, I wouldn't mind a year, longer than some games have lasted. But I do think it will be a very successful game! I think the core Rocksteady fans will play it for the story and enjoy it, and the looter shooter fans will be the ones playing it for years, and they will probably grow in that community as another option for people to play in between Destiny content, or Borderlands games :D Just my opinion, of course!

I think that's fair, the gameplay and endgame wont be for everyone. I think the story will be good for those who want like story games, or want to continue the arkham-verse. And then the looter shooter fans will be the target demographic for the rest of the game :D

Just like the other reply said, and other comments on this video have stated - Some people had no idea what the game was about until my videos. So I will not be removing "the fluff", because it's actually helpful info. And some people don't have any point of comparisons with other games, so it's good for them to know what the game is doing that is unique. Hence, the thumbnail and title :)

@@MrJays My guy, I dont want to be condescending, but this will come off as such. You arent big enough to be the FIRST channel that someone will see that is talking about Suicide Squad. ESPECIALLY since they lifted their NDA. I appreciate that you want to inform those imaginary people, but it isnt necessary. I clicked on your vid to learn YOURE take on this cool endgame. You ARE the first person to talk about it. However, the first 2-5 mins had me thinking you were a bot account that was teasing informing us about the endgame while repeating the same sentences in different variations. This is unfortunately common on KZbin. I assume you were trying to hit the 10 min video mark, but mix your fluff in or something. Frontloading it will just turn viewers off of your channel.
