Actually, it’s because of the plié!! (Pronounced plee-A)a plié is when a dancer bends their legs and uses the power from that bend to jump and leap!! ❤❤
@leadandelion51273 ай бұрын
@@donnaknudson7296 Most fighters that move around a lot or fight with bladed weapons are the same, maybe that could help him with the concept? Any healthy human can in theory lift a tree or a car with the strength we casually have, you would just really damage yourself because we don't have the body prepared for it, so we limit our power min 80% on any given day. People who train their body to be at full capacity of strenght without crossing to that damaging territory rarely appear "buff", the difference is called commonly "working muscles" as opposite to "muscles for appearances". Lots of the power person can or cannot wield also is about how strong their core is, and dancers and all fighters, climbers and anyone who needs balance in their thing have that trained daily so are naturaly lot stronger overall than person who train arm power etc. Kungfu and other martial arts with huge endurance training rarely have people who look buff, but they have the power to crack stuff to powder and splinters with their strenght. There is saying-joke in my land that goes "Would you rather be slapped or kicked by a dancer?" "Are you joking?! Slapped, she kicks like a mule!" because dancers just have that much strenght they can spring on you!

I love Channing’s hands! She’s got really beautiful control all the way through her extremities! And the photographs just keep getting better and better! Eva has never shown us a bad photo, blows my mind how her work continues to evolve while always being HERS. Great artist, genuinely talented. There’s hard work that goes into mastering a craft but Eva also has an innate GIFT in photography. She’s the best I can think of. Also, I LOVE how awkward ballerinas are when they aren’t dancing!! All that grace, all those beautiful extensions and then they walk like ducks in clodhoppers and I say this because I come from the world, zero coordination just walking. It’s a lot of stumbling and lurching, and let’s not forget the intense SLOUCH dancers will fall into when they’re not training. I mean, it’s kind of adorable seeing her just Willy nilly about because she is such an exceptional dancer. The swift transition from graceful swan to waddling geese always strikes me as funny. And it’s universal! It’s just…some odd thing that happens and in no way am I criticizing, dancers seem to all be aware of this. Of course you CAN be extremely graceful but quite often, when walking naturally there’s a clumsiness that comes through and I have always wondered why it happens? My friends and I used to joke about it all the time, that we tripped gracefully, we slipped with great lines, and we slammed into things with aplomb.
@elizana35753 ай бұрын
I think it's because of point shoes, to answer your question. Dancers definitely know how to walk graciously without even being aware of it, but in that case, the floor seems slippery, she's hurrying AND she's got point shoes, and we're definitely not gracious while walking with these, it's not made for walking 😂
