My job was to get customers excited about the differences between a name brand olive oil and ours. Our product was significantly more expensive, but genuinely more delicious. Getting people from: "this this is a frivolous purchase" to "should I get the large or small bottle?" Was as simple as acknowledging that there was meaningful differences in product. Warren is a real piece of work. He cracks up his drinking buddies with what sounds like a story about employee discrimination on the basis of pregnancy; he berates a wine server about a shipment that has nothing to do with them or with their department; he criticizes their business model when mildly inconvenienced by the need to discuss his problem with someone else; he tries to send back a glass of wine for a free replacement but continue to drink it; he brushes off the price of the flight he wants in replacement, only to get hammered and then dispute having ordered it; and finally, he resumes complaining about his "corked," delivery of six bottles, becoming directly verbally abusive when the server finally treats him with overt skepticism. I'm not surprised by what looks like Warren's drinking problem, but it is new information.

for anyone wondering, “corked” wine doesn’t mean it HAS a cork; that’s not the issue cork can sometimes be damaged by certain cleaning processes and tainted by fungi/mold/bacteria, which then gives the wine a funky, almost wet cardboard sort of taste basically, it makes the wine gross 🫡 but it rarely happens, so it’s never an issue 6 bottles though? i can understand why warren would be upset! so what if it’s unlikely? you have to believe him! it’s definitely not an excuse to get 12 bottles in a month, no sir
