I never understood why she felt the need to be so arrogant & cruel! I could see if he was stalking & kept pestering her, but that was totally unnecessary! I’ve turned plenty of guys down effectively without being cruel & condescending! That princess was arrogant! To add insult to injury she mocked and insulted this wonderful man in the presence of others because of her proud haughty attitude. Not only did she put all her maidens in danger and several others died (several men and one of her maidens) she finally came to her senses. Proverbs 29:23 “A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.” This story reminds me of DAVID a man after Yah thy Elohim's own heart who defeated the giant!!! 1 Samuel 17:51-52 King James Version 51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled. 52 And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron. THIS MAN RISKED HIS LIFE FOR A WOMAN WHO INSULTED AND MOCKED HIM! HE IS A REAL HERO!
