I purchased 2 of those exact stoves back when my kid's were around 2 and 3 and we used them on our many camping trips we took every summer for year's. My kid's are now 16 and 17 and both those stoves still work great and look as new as the day we bought them all those year's ago with proper cleaning of them. I always used the Gasone brand cans for them because you could get 12 of them for $20 on Amazon back then. And i still have several cans because you can make a full breakfast and coffee in a percolator and only use like less then quarter of a can it's impressive. But I've been seeing these stoves talked about alot lately and i found it crazy because me and my family have been using 2 of them for so many year's and just over the past 6 months I've seen several channel's talking about how great they are and how didn't they know about them before. Also i still have the original cases for both and everything and they truly have been used a ton. We even used them too cook dinner at home a few time's while being stuck in a power outage situation because our stove is electric. They most definitely are one of the best camping essentials I've ever purchased hands down.

I bought 2 when I first moved to Florida for emergencies like hurricanes. Best investment I've ever made in camping gear.

@Plasmastorm73_n5evv Same they are well built and last many year's even with alot of use. And the gasone brand fuel cans last a long time. We did 5 5 day camping trips 2 summer's in row and used them ND only went through 1 and a half cans of fuel. But over all we've been using them since my kid's where 2 and 3 and they are now 16 and 17 and both my stoves still work like new and cases are still also in great condition with many summer's and even a couple power outage situations. I still have 1 full can from the original 12 pack I purchased year's go because Gasone makes some great butane fuel.

Just FYI, butane stoves don't work well in cold temperatures and won't work at all below freezing. The fuel won't vaporize.

HE'S BACK! GITTY UP! LOL! Gave my sister a smaller butane stove 15+ years ago and she really liked it for backpacking. Question about the pool light shine downward? Down to the water? And just an FYI. For my anchor rope storage, I use one of those extension cord roller. You wind it up & you're ready to go. To deploy the anchor, just hold it, & as the anchor goes down the rope spins off evenly. When its time to pull the anchor, you pull it up then crank the handle to coil/ wrap up the rope. Easy peasy. Thanks Keith!

The butane burners are as common as hell here in Oz since about 2010. I've got 3 or 4 floating around here in my workshop. They cost $25AUD at Kmart and the refills are about $5 for 3 cans. Very handy for cooking up some bacon and eggs by the river, boiling a kettle for tea/coffe/soup. I can highly reccommend them, unless it's blowing 30+ and you have no cover lol.

I use the wrap it storage straps to secure my crappie long rods together . If the rod is 14 feet, it breaks down into three sections . I use three of the different straps to hold the rod sections together, making it more manageable and not destroying my rod. They also can be used as rod holders to tote four same size rods together for fishing.

Those butane bottles don't last long . But you can get adapters to run a butane stove on a propane bottle or cylinder . You can also get refill adapters to refill those 1 pound cylinders and if you are too squeamish to refill the disposable 1 pounders , they sell refillable ones in all sizes down to 1/4 pound bottles .

20 volts would work with your 24 volt trolling motor. It will run at about 80% power. So, you'll spend more time than you would like to get back to the dock.

Another great video, Keith. All good ideas. Really like that big mat, lots of possibilities. Little stove is great. They don't work real well in extreme cold ( freezing and below ) gas won't atomize, but you can warm them up and get em to work. Put them inside your coat till you're ready to use. I love your hacks videos. God bless y'all and hope y'all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday.

Need to put that trolling motor in water for the residence to see if it runs then. Or try to actually push a boat. I think the instructions on the stove say the butane lasts a little over an hour. Not sure if that's on low or high, but one canister should last all day (night) not contiuous use

If you stick the glow sticks in the freezer. They'll stop working. Take them out and they'll start working again when they defrost. So if they last 12 hours and you only them for 4 hours. Stick them in the freezer, instead of wasting the last 8 hours.

Show us how to use our drill battery to run an electric burner to cook your food on a boat.
@user-neo71665
@user-neo71665 11 сағат бұрын
You dont need the power inverter to run a 12 volt motor on a 20 volt battery. That 20 volts they claim is rounded up from 18 volts. Most 12 volt dc things will easily run on up to 20 actual volts. 18 volts aint nothing for them. The main issue running a trolling motor on a drill battery is the run time and overheating the battery from too fast of a drain too quickly. If you can see your truck from the boat then go for it. If not you most likely gonna have a fire in your boat.

The amperage draw on an electric motor that isn't in the water is far lower than when it's in the water and trying to drive your boat. When you understand a 12v electric trolling motor can draw 40 amps or more, and that battery isn't rated for anywhere NEAR that kind of output, what you're really doing is creating a fire hazard on a boat. Super bad idea.
