lol. Done that a couple of times. Have a few birds on my channel that I landed. Good shot mate. I once had a gull grab a pilchard I was casting, it hit the water and a good sized snapper took the bird.

I had that happen once while lake fishing. The poor thing got tangled in my cast line and crashed into the lakes surface Fortunately after about 20 seconds it untangled itself, so I didn't have to reel it all the way in 😊 I felt pretty bad about that, but it all worked out in the end. Another day I was fishing with a friend and a little blue penguin hooked it's wing on her hook, fortunately the tide was only a couple of feet below us and I was able to gently catch it with my hands while she unhooked it 😊

WOW that would be an interesting experience. Happy to see a penguin up close but sad that it is hooked. I'm glad it was fine in the end. Crazy birds.
