For the rope to the gcan...the gdoor can do it with a gear hooked to the motor hooked to a rod that spins a spool with a 3 foot diameter or so where every rotation from the rod spools 9+ feet...C=2(pi)r...so you'd only need 4 rotations for 12 yards... T-shirt guy is on to something...just need to guide the rope correctly
