I replaced that switch in a 2010 cruze without removing the steering wheel and the turn signal and wiper levers. I just removed the upper and lower steering wheel covers and unscrewed the switch. I don't get it why there's so much disassembly, there's a lot of space there

I don't have a Cruze but I have a 2013 Sonic 1.4 Turbo 6 speed. Could this switch cause the engine to shut off on hard right turns? I know it sounds weird but I can actually stall the engine at will simply by making a sharp right turn. It will not stall at any other time except a right turn. The radio also acts funny when the steering wheel is turned ever so slightly when driving.

@@WickedTroutFishing No sir, I haven't been able to figure it out yet. I kind of put it on the back burner for now. I am going to start by replacing the wiring harness in the steering column when I get motivated provided I can even get a new Harness from GM. I'm sorry I couldn't be more of a help to you.

My steering wheel doesn't pull towards me just up and down. I had to look up another video on how to take the airbag off and still couldn't get the bag off so since the steering wheel only goes up and down on my car i had to leave the steering wheel on and all the swiches for the blinkers and the wipers and to get to that ignition switch was hard because i had barly enough room to unmount and mount the ignition switch. Took me a couple hours in the AZ sun at 115 degree heat and it sucked

Ya should put in your description you said T45 but meant T50 or a list off all tools needed. Or im blind n couldn’t find it. I know i shoulda listened to it all my bad i was getting everything ready grabbed the T45 it didn’t fit of course I didn’t have a T50 so I had to find a ride to purchase the T50

Would a bad ignition switch cause my car not to turn off when i take the key out?

I replaced my switch, but I still have nothing New battery, starter, all the relays and fuses, had my key checked and it good.. what could it be?!?!? Please help

Yeah he got swapped up at one point in the video. No need for programming if just replacing switch.
