And yet it remains in high demand. So why completely change the design? It is Volvo's strength; this is what they are good at. The idea was to switch completely to full-electric, so continue with the EX90 only, but it turns out that the market (the buyers) are not yet ready for it. So, in my opinion, it is just smart of Volvo not to spend all their money on a completely new design, but rather to give the XC90 some extra life through a small, but good refresh.

@@BKAlexander53 you were the one to put an equation sign, which indicates 100% Chinese product, which is a lie. All of the xc90 for Europe, where I live in, are produced in Sweden. R&D had been done mainly in Sweden too. Differences in quality, design, safety and basically everything between Chinese cars and Volvo are astronomical, and to summarise volvo as a Chinese car is nothing short but a lie. Chinese owned company - unfortunately yes, I would rather see the profits to stay within the EU. But it is what it is, and in the end, the company is still headquartered in Sweden, CEO and chairman are Swedish as well. And this makes a difference.
