I've been using a Youdao dictionary pen for about a year to learn Chinese. It is a VERY useful device. Well worth the money.

Thank you Jessie for another helpful video. I'd never considered purchasing an electronic translation device until I saw you demonstrate how useful the Youdao would be. The speed of translation, the large color screen and the natural sounding voice were the most important factors in my decision to buy, but what pushed me over the edge to place my order was the discount code and the stroke-order feature when scanning one character at a time. That's just too cool.

I bought the 2nd version. It’s useful but the battery life is absoluty terrible.about 30 minutes. Seems they have improved this
