metal gear rising raiden wins by a lot, the only thing i like more in metal gear solid V is the running because you can feel his suit with his heavy steps but he still is fast, probably the rocket launcher and other details like this, but in general i think more points go to mgr raiden

The thing is according to google raiden was born in 1983 which mgs5 took place in 1984 which means that raiden was only 1 years old when mgs5 happened so to conclusion raiden was just a skin for snake to use not really that raiden refused to use his sword or just switched to a gun instead of a sword. So yes and also probably sam doesnt even probably has the murasama or muramasa or probably hasn't inhereted it from his father yet.

The reason Raiden doesn’t take his sword in MGSV is because he goes into blade mode with electrolytes, which is what cyborgs have, not humans.

He could use sword casually without blade mode (like he did in MGS2) Blade mode just slows the time , so does reflex mode I think he couldn't use the sword because he was more like a camo for snake Like any other camo , raiden's one also didn't have any major speciality to change the whole gameplay But there might be another reason. If he used his sword , people would have to get cut into pieces and there would be a lot of gore So Konami didn't want to take any risk

There’s a reason that he stands that way (well at least for snake since this is literally just a costume for snake to wear and not the real raiden). Snake stands this way because it helps him carry out his missions in a more stealthy way. Every snake stands in a similar way in the games because it just helps them carry out their mission better.

To anyone that has MGSV on PC I highly recommend getting Shigu’s solid rising mod. It puts gray fox, raiden, and adult Chico in your game as playable characters, each with their own custom melee sword animation and sprinting style (Chico has the parasite run and it’s fuckin sick) Also the mod allows you to toggle raiden’s visor. Sick mod, get it

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is one of those late PS3/Xbox 360 era games where it visually holds it's own against even sometimes mid-generation PS4/Xbox One games. When I played Metal Gear Rising a few months ago I was very impressed with it's physics engine and graphics.

Is it just me who thinks MGSV s Raiden suit lost too much contrast? The details on the suit are nearly invisible and the whole thing turns into one gray blob on the screen. Like, what's the point of the all of that awesome design if we, the player, can't even see it properly? It's not like it's so the enemies don't notice us - the silhouette is still very visible. But only the silhouette.

I think metal gear rising revengance wins in comparison because its the only game where you can actually be a badass and the movement is just right but metal gear solid the movement is way to quick which makes it hit a low for me

You can be badass in both games. As for movement both games have fast movement that’s designed around the game’s mechanics. But MGSV gives you more options for movement and upgrades for speed.

Yea it’s cooler but mgr is one of THE few games we’re using a sword let’s u actually cut up enemies I’ve got 100% on both but tbh I do prefer mgr bc of the overall amount required to be really good at the game I love both games and spent 1500+ hours on mgsv but things get repetitive at this point even FOB missions so I do prefer mgr also bc of the music
