I've explained this in the comments of a few other channels, I only contribute this to the ones I like most. In the scene where Lydia unleashes Betelgeuse to help the Maitlands...there's a shot where he gets Otho, and changes his clothes to that polyester blue outfit. It's a funny joke on it's own, but if you notice there is a little jingle that comes with that scene...it's a Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Easter Egg. In Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (1985), there's a character named Francis, an overweight, man-child that is Pee-Wee's nemesis...in the film he's wearing that very blue polyester outfit. The actor who plays Otho looks quite a bit like the actor who played Francis...so much so, for the longest time I thought they were played by the same actor, I only recently discovered my error. Anyway...Pee-Wee's Big Adventure was Tim Burton's first feature film as director, Beetlejuice was his 2nd feature film.

New Beetlejuice is a lot of fun! As for Tim Burton movies, Sleepy Hollow is a perfect choice for Halloween season

"The movie's PG!" "An 80s PG." Actually, it's PG-13. Michael Keaton was allowed one f-bomb, & he f***in' used it right!

I just checked the back of my DVD and it says "PG." Google says same. And Betelgeuse drops two f-bombs in the movie but the second one is muddled. When Adam and Barbara show up with their scary faces to stop Lydia from saying "Betelgeuse" a third time, Betelgeuse can be heard shouting "Fuck you! Say itttttt!!!" before he falls over.

@@ConstantineFurman I just checked IMDB. I stand corrected. It was re-rated in several countries and TV airings rate it TV-14, but it is still PG here.

Some of the movies I watch every Halloween season: Alien, Predator, The Thing, Frighteners, Near Dark, The Cabin in the Woods, Evil Dead 2, Event Horizon, The House on Haunted Hill, Jaws, and Sleepy Hollow.

That guy you can see through the window behind the Maitlands in Juno’s office looks like he could perhaps be John Belushi in his Jake Blues outfit. That would be two ghost roles for him, counting Slimer. Pretty decent for a posthumous career. The living usually won’t hire the dead.

I lived though the Black plague and had a good time at that.
