Lily was laughing in amazement during Gus's worm nightmare. It's almost like the demon not seeing the shared delusion with amusement.
@raylynne5280Ай бұрын
I kind of think the demon was doing it just cuz of how freaked out the skeptic guy was, he said like "this isn't supposed to happen" or something when he snapped his fingers and Gus didn't wake up, I think the demon was having a little fun but letting everyone think it was the skeptic guy...
@MikeyNottzАй бұрын
It was the “Hypnotism”, Hypnosis works on human minds but Demons will see straight through it, so Lily/Demon was laughing cuz she was seeing the whole thing as we did After it was revealed!!? 😅

Jack didn't know the deal in the woods was a real deal with a Demon. He just assumed it was weird, rich people rituals that was good networking, and he didn't know it would cost him his wife - something he never would have agreed to if he had known. The Demon also tricked him into stabbing the little girl at the end to complete the sacrifice ritual the cult had intended to do but was interrupted from completing during the police raid.
@RThyrringАй бұрын
That’s usually how a cult works; they say they are gonna help you out but they are only looking after themselves and their own interests

This really does remind me of an early 90's British one-off mockumetary called Ghost Watch. They used well known (at the time) actors and presenters to "present" a "live" show about a haunted house in London that was terrorizing a family. All hell breaks loose at the end. And despite the fact it was stated as all fake, unfortunately it got TONS of complaints from the public thinking an evil entity was let loose through our tv screens lol it is pretty creepy, I highly recommend it for spooky season!

The Carmichael character is very clearly based (including physically) on the real-life James Randi. Randi was a talented magician who became a famous psychic debunker and he started an institute that offered a large reward to anyone that could reproduce their supposed paranormal powers in controlled conditions. Over decades, nobody was able to win the money.

I was fortunate to catch this movie in theaters twice and I absolutely loved it! There are many appearances of Jack’s wife’s ghost throughout the movie, the mirror was indeed one of them, but she appears in the background of the stage, the tv static on a television during a backstage scene, as well as in a mirror backstage, I’m sure there are others but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment. Also, The Grove is indeed real, known as The Bohemian Grove here in California. Secret societies are indeed real, some not so secret, like The Grove, and some yet to be discovered.
