Fun fact: Brandy’s character was originally supposed to die. But she had a best selling album 💿 and her TV show Moesha was doing well. So her mom (who was her manager) re-negotiated. And the character lived. Watch Love and Hip Hop and you will see Brandy, her mom, and her brother Ray J. 😅 The movie was produced by Kevin Williamson, a gay man (he’s done Scream, Vampire Diaries, etc) and he felt that killing both Black characters (Mekhi wanted to be killed because he was filming something else simultaneously) wasn’t cool. So he agreed. That’s why Karla gets attacked but then immediately disappeared. That scene where she’s attacked through the window was supposed to be her death. They re-shot it so that she was “unconscious” and then magically reappeared at the end.

From what I've read on Wiki, the third movie in the series was direct to video, and did not have Jennifer Love Hewitt or Freddy Prinze Jr. It has new characters and a different setting. As for the legacy sequel that others have spoken about, it is apparently still on with an expected release in July of 2025. JLH has said that she would like to do the legacy sequel, but no official word from Freddy Prinze Jr having signed on.

Not as good as the original but can be a fun time I appreciate that it’s a bit gorier than the original. I love that Julie just goes off on the killer “Just fuckin die” while shooting him ugh love that. However the third movie oof its existence is offensive to the genre and to cinema.

The new people are stupid, boring and when one roots for the killer in the film IT SAYS A LOT on how crappy it is. I'm kind of surprised that Mrs didn't comment/call out a couple of specific moments (as far as we know based on the edit): ▪︎ Spending $100(!) on a fricken bathing suit (especially in '98!) ▪︎ The appearance of the 'Bell Atlantic' payphone (I mean, who doesn't love a payphone/phone booth) Ohhh yeah, and one other thing that I was kind of confused about was why they were asking about the dog... If I remember correctly, there's a very clear shot of the ☠️ dog, along with the characters' reaction to seeing it just prior to discovering the manager 😵 in his office...🤷🏼‍♂️

If anyone is curious about it at all, I would _highly_ recommend that they just watch Dead Meat’s Kill Count on it. I seem to remember seeing an interview with the author and she was asked about Karla and her answer was something along the lines of “spoilers” or “that would be telling”. Can’t remember exactly what she said but that was the vibe. So I think at the very least Karla and the sequel will be acknowledged. Definitely hope to actually see her though 😃

Also maybe unpopular opinion but Muse Watson is an entirely underrated figure in horror history. I never hear anybody talk about or mention him and he is honestly great in both of the films. Maybe it’s because he saved his pennies or invested wisely and has no need to be a part of the convention circuit, but still: I def think people should put some respeck on his name from time-to-time. Truly a scary figure on-screen.

Since y’all are confused on how everything is connected , I wanted to help you guys out!! 😊 So in IKWYDLS the man in the beginning sitting on the cliff is David Egan , him and his girlfriend Suzy Willis got into a wreck the year prior and she died. The whole town blamed him and he blamed himself that’s why he was on the side of the cliff wanting to end his life . He didn’t know that Suzy’s father (Ben Willis ) was there and Ben killed David. After that , Ben was leaving where I’m assuming he got rid of David’s body , and went to cross the road. That’s when they hit him with the car and left him for dead in the ocean . In ISKWYDLS they say that Ben worked there and killed his wife in the honeymoon suite and disappeared with Suzy and Will . Basically the men in that family are psychotic!! 😂 hope this helps ! Btw LOVE this channel!! ❤

A group of friends & I watched this in the theater. Within the first 10 minutes we were giving each other stares. Within 20 we were debating on leaving. At 30, we were doing MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000 for your plebs) the live version in the theater. It was that predictable. Those that could hear our commentary were laughing. A few were annoyed and moved away, but not many. Maybe 3 people. But about 20 could hear us (5 guys) and were enjoying the commentary.

Estes gives hints through out his scense he recognized Will as Ben's son; "I've been doing this while you where still a gleam in your fathers eyes." (or something similar) He also talkes about the murder of Ben's wife, and the family having a daughter and a son. We know the daughter died. Also (Brandy) was friends with Will, Will might as well have befriended her. She didn't really like Ray... so, Will might very likely have asked if she could help him getting closer to Julie. Will was manipulative as a character.

Awesome reactions guys, as usual, but if I may tell you a fun fact about this film, while Julie was emptying that round on him and saying what she said "Just.. Fucking... Die", well they actually had to end up, in post production, having Jennifer Love Hewett say it in a studio mic because with all that practical rain and weather, she tried many times saying it but with all the weather noises and practical effects they were using, they couldn't get her audio to connect too well so they had to go that other route I mentioned a moment ago in my comment.

I absolutely loved the reaction. I own this movie own blue 💙 ray and still like it. At the time, it was a very hot cast, and i think they did a good job. I have i'll always know what you did last summer on Dvd and i enjoyed. It's completely different from the first two films. It's a fun time, but i don't know if Mrs. Movies is gonna be thrilled. Of course I'm a person who was born in in the late '90s so of course I grew up with all of these classic movies And I know what you did last summer to me was a fantastic horror movie I love to watch. Then I watched the sequel one time when I was younger and my first thought was this is crap but fun and I never saw it again until today Good times to watch it with you'll 😂
