8:47 Correction: Relentless Rage was buffed. You now get hit points equal to TWICE your Barbarian Level. Not just 1 hit point. So that’s 22 HP at 11th Level. That’s 22x more HP than before.

For the Epic Boon at 19, a great option for Barbarians is tbe Boon of Combat Prowess that boon makes it so you can NEVER miss your Brutal Strike! Dunk on people each of your turns add that 2d10 with extra bacon!

Previous to this, i always considered the Wild Magic Barbarian to be a sort of "Nine Realms" Barbarian. Your rage and each random effect drawing from a different Realm. For example, giving your weapon the thrown property feels very Svartalfheim to me.

The 2024 book isn't an overall improvement to the game. Personally I dislike the fact that nearly every barbarian subclass casts spells while raging and using strength as a replacement for intelligence, wisdom, and dexterity is just pandering to the lowest common denominator of stupidity. And not too long ago people were screeching because warlocks using charisma to attack with a single weapon was stupid and overpowered.

Really dislike how this subclass’ 10th Level feature basically limits you to just 2 play styles: (1) Two-handed heavy weapons or (2) using a shield with a versatile weapon. No dual wielding builds. No Unarmed builds. No throwing builds. No room for meaningful customization beyond weapon masteries. The features are all really cool but IMO being so limited in how I can build my character puts me off. It’s like the developers are directly telling me how to play this subclass, which doesn’t sit well with me in a game about choices. If i’m a DM for a game that has one of these Barbarians that line in Battering Roots about Versatile and Heavy Weapons is getting chucked in the trash.
