This is probably the most down to earth and helpful side hustle content I've seen! The first part is especially helpful. Thank you.

You convinced me to sell stuff and I made $435 in August. That's way better than any yard sale I've ever had.

how did you sell your stuff?

I was already off loading stuff online when I saw this video earlier the summer. So I set this $1000 goal (which was pretty much the cost of putting 3 kids through summer activities). It took me 3 months And a fun chart on the wall ... but I did it yesterday!! $1000 waahooo! Thanks for the challange!

Excellent ideas! I can't wait to start brainstorming! My brother-in-law just started a junk hauling side hustle. He has a truck and a trailer, he gets a workout, and lots of people need the service since they've been stuck at home seeing their clutter during COVID! I thought it was a great idea.

Wow, that is brilliant! Definite need. Little to no start-up costs for him. Using the resources he already has to bring in extra money. And not only that but he found a way to get PAID to get fit!! What better motivation to keep working out 😂 -Hannah :)

I really looooooooved this video! Thank you! As a short term step I'm selling the violin and trombone I've been meaning to sell for the last 10 years. Loved the brainstorm! Re-inspired!

Wow! Brilliant! Sometimes we get so used to the things around us that we stop seeing them, like the trombone and violin living in the basement corner. I'm the same way about the camera equipment I've outgrown or since upgraded. Time to sell! -Hannah :)

Great video! The key to taking control of expenses is to budget. Many people have started to realize that 9-5 income is not a safe bet. Circumstances can change instantly. Like this recent crisis, one day all was “peachy”. The next thing you know cities are closed and states are on lockdown and many countries are shutdown., and you can’t find toilet paper anywhere. It's important to make a list of the things that earn respect from your head and your heart. I can't wait it see more content!!!
@YNABofficial4 жыл бұрын
I'd say a lot of us are just learning that for the first time! Up until a few weeks ago I though 9-5s were the safest bet there was! We simply never know. So excited to see the creative sparks fly as we find ways to make new/more income! -Hannah :)

Hannah, what is the best way to track any income via side hustles in YNAB? There is no category breakdowns for income like expenses, it is all "to be budgeted"!! Thanks and good video!!
@samanthapaul62084 жыл бұрын
It should still go to to be budgeted so you can give your side hustle dollars jobs but you can make the payee "side hustle" so you can run a report later to see home much you made
@YNABofficial4 жыл бұрын
I echo what Samantha said! You have a couple options for how you can handle the money: (1) Throw it ALL in To Be Budgeted and use it all to fund all your expenses. That payee tip of Samantha's was brilliant and a great way to organize your earnings. (2) Create a "Side Hustle" category in your budget, and whenever you deposit a new paycheck/income, budget it directly to this category. Then when you want to spend this particular money, you can move it to whatever category you want to spend from before you make the purchase and know that you were using your "side hustle" money for it. (3) If your side hustle is lucrative enough, consider creating a separate bank account for it. Then you could create your very own budget for it! Best of luck! Hope you find what best works for you! -Hannah :)

Oh no, not the nail stickers! Whatever you do, do not buy into MLMs (multi-level marketing, network marketing, social selling, whatever)! Less than 1% of people will ever make money at them but there are thousands of people willing to talk about how MLMs ruined their lives and finances

What about people with a musical talent
@YNABofficial3 жыл бұрын
Go for it! My family and I used to busk in our downtown area to raise money for certain causes-it brought in a surprising amount of money for us just having fun on a street corner! I wonder if searching a website like Indeed could help you brainstorm or give you some ideas for ways people utilize musicians? It's amazing to get to take advantage of a skill that's not only a talent but also a blast for you! When the work is fun, it sure makes it a lot more enjoyable :) -Hannah :)
