i’m only 14, but these intros give me such nostalgia. i remember i didn’t have preschool on wednesday and my grand parents would watch me, every day at 12 i think, they would have to watch their “story”. i don’t usually hear about it anymore, but since it’s summer and we spend a lot of time with them, i’ve been watching it again

Aww, your Grandparents seem so cool. In My Family they were known as The Stories. We didn't watch Y & R. For My Grandparents it was All My Children, Another World or Somerset. As you know Bill Bell Co Created Another World. UK Fans was stunned when I told them that Megan Markle was on General Hospital as an Under Five.

Same here girl!! I knew what time it was when I heard this introduction 💯 I knew not to bother my grandma for the next hour when her soaps came on. Eventually as I got older I started watching them for myself too, I don't watch anymore but my grandma still calls me and updates about whats going on

Honestly, this music is forever in my brain from my great grandmom watching it. When I have kids, I'm going to start watching this so they will forever be tortured by the song, and their kids will visit and I'll put it on. Because let's face it, this show will still be going in the year 3000

Interesting retrospective. Curious (and fortunate!) that they only stuck with the 1999 jazzed-up version for four years, then returned to the original, more understated soundtrack from then on. That theme song is thing of wonder, in its' own right.

The last intro is so harsh for the actors/actresses. The light doesn't do them any good. Every pore is visible on camera. I want soft, romanticized spotlights. Y&R red intro was absolutely perfect.
