The double entendres in Thomas Seymour's seduction/ flirting are ironically a lesson in the game of politics. Kings and Queens smile more than they talk when they appear in public and make people's heads turn without revealing their true nature to anyone. I suspect this dialogue was intentionally written with that implied meaning.

Elizabeth was equally highly intelligent & beautiful in real life , remember her mother was Anne Boleyn & she looked exactly like her with her fathers flaming red hair . She spoke 6 languages fluently , she said she would NEVER MARRY at the age of 8 after Catherine Howard was kind yet the sight of seeing her begging for her life put Elizabeth off marriage
