“Home” is the new single by female fronted folk pop band “Young Chinese Dogs”. It’s an ode to the place and the people you love.
A home can mean many things. A country, a place, a house, a room, a food, a certain song, a smell, a person. This song is for the people in our lives who give us a home.
Composed by Birte Hanusrichter & Oliver Anders Hendriksson
Mixed by Oliver Anders Hendriksson
Mastered by Dennis Kern
You were born in the winter
And I know you love the snow
At first you were shy
With a twinkle in your eye
You have it until now
Didn't take the lowest road
Went back to school got bold
Your a heroine you know
A sister, mother, teacher
For so many children yet
You ignite a special light
In all of these lives
And everyone can tell
When im scared you give your last
You love with all you have
And i want to give love back
You give us a home
You’re a rock
That’s all we need to know
When all just falls apart
You are home
You fed me when i was little
You feed me to this day
Your kitchen is the place to be
Not only for me
But for the crew who is my family
You know the words to every song
You sing along
And you sing like a nightingale
You give us a home
You’re a rock
Thats all we need to know
When all just falls apart
You are home
I hope you feel that you are loved
Surrounded by your friends
I hope you keep on telling jokes
Not bringing them to an end
May luck be always by your side
Life filled up with delight
And may you always laugh until you cry
You give us a home
You’re a rock
Thats all we need to know
When all just falls apart
You are home
