Look what happened to West Oakland. back then the whole West Oakland didn’t have not one grocery store but had hella liquor stores everywhere. But when people of color start getting pushed out and white folks move in, now all of a sudden grocery stores are popping up in the West. Kids are literally eating hot Cheetos they bought from the abundant liquor stores in the hood for breakfast. You don’t see that shit in white communities. And that is just one example of how the hood is not made for us to succeed. So for anyone who from the hood West Cost to East Coast, don’t let the system bring y’all down!

Man they got some new nice apartments and more white ppl living in the west because its the closest bart to sf but all the liquor stores are still there and the only grocery stores I kno are grocery outlet on Broadway and pak n save in Emeryville, which have always been there.
