I would recommend using millet for training or just to show your birb that they’re a good birb❤️✨ Also I see a mirror, I had the exact same one my bird got extremely aggressive and hormonal if you see that with any birb make sure to take the mirror out 🥰

Yesss ty finnalyl sm1 who knows their stuff. Also you shouldn't have dowel purches they are really harmful to them and can cause problems in the future. You should rather feed a diet consisting of veggies not seeds especially sunflower seeds as they are very unhealthy for birds

So I got my 3 month old tiel a week and a half ago. Only had budgies before, that would learn to step up in 3 days. For a week my guy hissed at the sight of me, but I stayed close and didn’t bother him much. Just when I was getting impatient, 3 days ago he ate out of my hand, the next day ate out of my hand while sitting on it as well. Today he is stepping up so tomorrow I’m going to let him out. I almost feel like he has been training me but it has been sooo rewarding! I’m glad my instincts were what you showed! Subbed

the beginning is vital. BE PATIENT. I got a 3-month-old around a month ago and got him into training a bit rush. Now he can stand on my finger but I can tell he is still afraid of me. You don't want that! Be patient and took some time to build relationships and trust with him. It might take months but in the end, he will trust you. I wish someone told me that earlier and now I am doing things slowly now and hope for the best.

You can get one sure :) spend some time with him so he doesnt feel lonely. Finding young ones is the hard part, but try to ask around in your city who is breeding cockatiels

Same as a cockatiel whose wings are clipped. It just takes a little longer because they’re not simply relying on you for transportation but rather have to learn to genuinely trust you

She is old enough to eat by herself. Just find a pretzel og a piece of bread to test that, and you will find out that she will begin to eat. I would not worry too much.

Unless your cockatiel is hand raised and a baby when you get it. Do NOT just shove your hand right in ! It's slow and steady patience. Too much to write here. Have had birds 35 years and this is only for hand raised . Ps. Cockatiel real bites HURT.

So the cage is too small, should be no mirror, using only dowel perches is bad n your chasing the bird around with your hand during the "patience" portion, that's not being patient. Get a flight cage or you can make an indoor aviary for your birds. Do not put mirrors on your cage but also get stainless steel bowls. And get natural wood purchases and don't put happy huts.
