Pandas are cool A very unnecessary and ignorant thing to say. Not at all, by the sound of it, you clearly do not reside in LA. Better to be desperate than unambitious. I was born and raised in in LA, and still live in LA, and I've only ever seen the honest passions of people. LA has always been the place to go to fulfill people's artistic dreams, a place full of thriving creativity. The very early beginnings of LA was being built for that very intention. That's why there was a bustling golden era in arts, the “Golden Age” of Hollywood. It was how immigrants could pursue bigger and better lives too. The arts was a gateway to success. It's not all Hollywood and palm trees though. It currently has a very high population of Hispanics and other minority groups who are always economically struggling and don't have the time or privilege to think about the arts. They worry about whether they can afford the rent or food. I see every kind of person's struggle to survive here. I see the hunger for prosperity here. There is always something happening. Everyone here is chasing a better life. LA has two sides to it: the art and the struggle. That's why I love this city.
