So....how did you guys like the rape scene, where the monster forces himself on Elizabeth? That IS what happens, right? The monster busts into her bedroom. She screams. He picks her up. She faints. He takes her to a cave. She can't get away. The monster starts to strip. Elizabeth says NO clearly. There's no doubt that she wants to leave. But then she sees the size of the monster's penis and says WOOF! which anyone will tell you means yes. And lo and behold RAPE SE SEXUALLY LIBERATES ELIZABETH!! Because that is what happens to. Blueballing bitches. We don't like Elizabeth because she won't put out to Freddy. She FORCES Freddie to cheat on her. Freddy and Inga only get together because Elizabeth is 6,tease. As we all know, women are there to put out for any man that wants sex. Freddy is this FORCED TO CHEAT on Elizabeth. He is blameless. Think I'm overreacting? Okay. Flip it so it's a pro-slavery comedy. Gene Wilder is the kindly plantation owner who treats his slaves like family. But one slave decides that he wants to be free. He goes to a big Northern city. He can't find a place to live or a job or food or medicine. He freezes in the winter. So after a series of hilarious misadventures he decides to go back to his warm plantation where he gets fed and is cared for when he is sick. I bet Mel Brooks could make a comedy classic out of this. Or keep everything the same. Change. Nothing. EXCEPT cast a. Black actress as Elizabeth. Like Kerry Washington or Naomi Harris. Tell her a white monster is going to liberate her sexually and that she is going to fall in love with her rapist. Think any black actress would even TAKE the part? Is this the way we'll talk to our daughters? If you are about to get raped, first .make sure the rapist is hung. You'll like it if he's,hung. If not, just say no. I'm sure,any rapist would stop with his pants down when he hears I. It's only a .movie, you say? Okay. Is Rape intrinsically funny? Is a rape comedy EVER okay? How about slavery? Lynching? Just go on Google and search the phrase " is there a rape scene in Young Frankenstein? See what you get.

Kenneth Mars, who plays Inspector Kemp, was also in The Producers. Mel Brooks first movie. Madeline Kahn has also in multiple Mel Brooks movies. Including Blazing Saddles, High Anxiety, and History of the World part 1.

1. Mr. Hilltop/Liam Dunn is the same guy that plays the preacher in Blazing Saddles 2. I first saw this at a drive-in (that's still here BTW) and there was a lunar eclipse over the screen that made it even cooler than it was. 3. The studio wanted this in color but Brooks and Wilder insisted black and white because they wanted the old school tone. 4. This movie is Wilder's baby, and he agreed to do Blazing Saddles only if Brooks would direct and help write this movie. 5. It was almost impossible to get through the "You take the blonde and I'll take the one in the turban" scene. Everyone kept cracking up. You can see Wider trying not to laugh. 6. Igor's hump changing sides was Feldman's running gag on the cast and it was kept in the movie. 7. Marty Feldman's walleyed orbs were the result of both a hyperactive thyroid and a botched operation after a car accident before his 30th birthday, in 1963. 8. FUN FACT: Igor's "Walk this way" was Steven Tyler's inspiration for hit song of the same name. 9. Wilder😇 also insisted that Brooks NOT be seen on film. However, the screeching cat and the wolf are Mel. 10. Light reflecting off of the monster's missing teeth is not a goof. It's on purpose. 11. Monical over an eye patch.🤣 12. "Puttin' on the Ritz" will never be the same again.

Seeing pictures of Marty Feldman before his condition, I think he bore a pretty good resemblance to Peter Cushing.

Gene Wilder was in The Producers, which was his original film. The musical made later was based on the original movie, which is not a musical.

The horses & Frau Blucher.... It was suggested by many in the 90s-2000s (when Online movies became a thing) that it was about her name meant "glue" or "glue factory" in German, and that is proven FALSE. *In a Film Chat Room discussion around 2000-2001, a female UCLA film student suggested that since Chloris Leachman's character was so Freaky, the then Frau Blucher was doing like Cathrine The Great of Russia, and has a Horse Fetish.*

Interesting that when the "Puttin' On The Ritz" scene started you uttered the phrase, "this Movie's Mel Brooks' is showing" considering that both Wilder and Brooks have stated that the only argument that the two ever had was over whether to include the scene in the final Movie. Brooks called it "Frivolous" and that it would Never Work. Wilder wrote the scene and held his ground. Brooks later stated that Wilder was 100% correct.

Wow, you left out the blind man scene completely! Gene Hackman (The French Connection, Superman, Bonnie and Clyde, The Poseidon Adventure, Unforgiven, Mississippi Burning are just some films he’s famous for) asked to try his hand at comedy and offered to appear for free. The line, “I was gonna make espresso!” was improvised and broke up the crew so badly they were unable to do a second take. When the film was originally released, Hackman received no credit, and many people just never realized it was him in the role.
