Young Guns & Old Trucks Ep. 2 Jrod and Hunter Madsen

Trucking runs deep in families like the Madsens and I'm thrilled to have this father and son introduce us to their beautiful 1977 Peterbilt 352 big bunk cabover. You won't find a cooler rig and at this year's Big Iron Classic truck show in Kasson, MN the truck was chosen to be on the show's dash plaque and t-shirts! (a massive honor for sure)
Though Hunter is a tad shy on camera, I can assure you that he and his peers know these old rigs inside and out, pouring countless hours into restoring, maintaining, and showing rigs that are sometimes older than their dads are. Hunter even drove this truck to his high school prom! Our industry and hobby are in great hands with young men like Hunter learning from generations of truckers well before obtaining their own coveted CDL.
For specs this beast sports a 425hp C model Caterpillar engine, 13 speed transmission, 3.55 gears, and Peterbilt Low Air Leaf suspension on a 250" wheelbase gives it that amazing look & ride.
Keep and eye out for more of these Young Guns and their Old Trucks, I can't wait to see where they take the reigns in the future; and I hope to document it in this series.

You need to interview my buddy Tyler Hallman and his dad Irby hallman if you come to the Mayberry truck show in NC this year they got a nice 379 they pull hopper with plus Tyler has a old Freightliner cabover and Tyler is definitely a young gun for sure

I got to ride in one of those when I was a kid. My dad was driving one from the factory to the dealer for a salesman - Dwayne Powell. A man began to follow us. He stopped when we did. He asked my dad about the truck. My dad said, “hell, ask him, he’s turned every knob and flipped every switch in the truck. The man followed us to the dealer snd ordered one that day from Dwayne. And Dwayne gave me a official Peterbilt buckle and suede leather document holder for selling the truck.

I only drove one 352, it was for a guy going on holidays... 15 miles out of town the engine blew.... it really sucked... kinda ruined his holiday too.

I tried to buy that truck about 14 years ago some ol boy in Minnesota had it at the time supposedly anyways my life would've made more sense with that truck in my driveway that life makes sense now fuck what a life if that's not the same truck sorry boys but it looks real familiar
