@@FireFx It kind of is especially if we lean on fantasy or heroic mythical history. Achilles and Agamemnon (more complex but still), Lancelot and Arthur, the Paladins and Charlesmagne. The role of Champion is often separated from the role of King- and when it isn’t it says distinct material things about the culture, like in ancient Egypt typically the Pharaoh was seen as both and every year had to perform physically demanding rituals to keep the oaths with the gods, in mesopotamia the king had to be strong but the king if the god’s wife was his capricious murder champion which makes that role and extension of his divine marriage, or in Black Panther the role of Warrior/Shaman became king, and later was sometimes separated but is still often directly related to who or which tribe should be king. Atlanteans often seem culturally advanced or based on ancient greece and in both cases them being two distinct roles was very common in myths, with Theseus being the major exception that was born into both. Not only interesting, but narratively fruitful, and then makes Aquaman cooler by comparison if they are linked. They should make that clearer if that is the rule rather than the exception though.

You really see how far Dick Grayson (Nightwing) has come over the last 5 years. He no longer makes silly jokes during missions and takes unnecessary risks. Even Batman treats him as an equal not a sidekick, as soon as Nightwing told the team to evacuate Batman doesn't even hesitate to listen. Also I believe Nightwing is 18/19 by this point

The episodes for both arcs were spaced out to make it seem like they were two seasons, but they were one whole season. To address Suraj's question as to why they didn't try moving the bomb, Nightwing said that it might have pressure or motion sensors when Superboy tried to attempt that. Also, when you consider that Anakin Skywalker went from being against killing unarmed individuals to committing genocide against children in a single night, you can understand how easy it is for even someone as good as Kaldur/Aqualad to fall to darkness.

@@narrowmax7382 As I said silver age logic. I've followed Superman since the 70s, the explanation has been that he holds his breath. A newer explanation is that he gets all his nutrients from solar sustenance. So no it's not false. You're just following some of the many retcons, but as I have eluded the silver age overinflated everything about the character (and everything he could already do that's saying a lot). So maybe now he doesn't need to breathe but that's just another retcon, and another reason I dropped the character. Whenever the writers wrote themselves in a corner they just gave him another power.

If what Miss Martian is doing now bothers you consider this. The Kroleteans were trying to leave the planet. However the zeta shield prevented them teleporting out and Miss Martian ripping the location of their secret base out of the remains of that prisoners mind meant they were found before they could build a new ship to escape. Which means she's indirectly responsible for all of them dying as by the time Martian Manhunter got the location they could have flown off into space in their new ship.

SOOOO yeah something someone probably should have told you guys is in between season 1 and two there was a video game that shows aqualad going on a mission finding out black manta was his father. That same mission was joined by Tula(Codename Aquagirl) and I think Gar. During the final moments Tula tried to protect the team sacrificing herself for them allowing them to live but she did not make it out alive.

As shown before, Superman can hold his breath a superhuman amount of time but cannot breathe in space or underwater, which is why he usually takes an air tank or sometimes a full pressure suit when he knows he's going to be in space or underwater for extended periods of time. In the comics, Kon-El is also the name of a family member of Superman's who died when Krypton exploded. "Kon-El" can also be rearranged as "Klone."

Some things to be said, don't really know if you'll guys see it, but still: The animated Green Lantern Series is a 3D show about Hal Jordan in space and is actually canon to the Young Justice universe, which is why Hal Jordan is much less of a character, than he usually is. And also in 4th season there will be the original character from the show, so you might as well watch a recap if there is, to understand the episode And also, sadly, you won't see the Tula / Aqua Girl death backstory, because it is actually told in Young Justice game and only there.

The dude you call "Captain Canada" is Captain Atom, old Charlton Comics character that DC bought, Dr Manhattan is based on him (all of the Watchmen are based on characters from that buy, Moore asked if he could use them was told no they had plans to fold them into the larger DCU cause this was around the time Crisis on Infinite Earths was being planned/happening so he just made expy's). More importantly as to WHY he's in this series pretty prominently... Greg Weisman the showrunner of THIS show co- wrote his book back in the late 80s to early 90s alongside Cary Bates (an over 50 issue run IRC). So Weisman has a strong attachment to him and his lore since well... he created a lot of it. You see Black Canary so often in this show for a similar reason: she's his favorite Superhero and the Green Arrow family in general are his favorite Superhero franchise/family/whatever you want to call it.

Captain Atom Nathaniel Adam was a United States Air Force officer during the Vietnam War era. He was framed for a crime he didn't commit and sentenced to death under the watch of Col. Wade Eiling in 1968. To avoid execution, he was invited to participate in a military experiment with little chance of survival, with the promise of a presidential pardon should he survive. The experiment involved testing the hull of a crashed alien ship's durability by exploding a super nuclear bomb under it while Adam was in the ship. Against the odds, Adam survived, the alien metal melding with his body, while the excess energy threw him forward in time nearly twenty years Regaining coherence in 1986, Adam found himself a man out of his time and back in the hands of Eiling, now a general and the second husband of Adam's now-deceased wife. Everyone had assumed Adam had died during the experiment, so his presidential pardon was never issued and the current government refused to acknowledge the previous administration's promise. Seizing the opportunity at hand, the government used the outstanding murder/treason charges against Adam to blackmail him into being a government-controlled superhero codenamed Captain Atom. The government gave him a false origin for use in public and assigned him the alias of Cameron Scott, an Air Force intelligence operative. It was during this time he met the superpowered terrorist Plastique, who would become a recurring part of Adam's life. As Captain Atom, Adam served under Eiling reluctantly until he succeeded in clearing his name. Eventually, Atom rebelled against Eiling, resigned from the Air Force and found some fulfilment as an actual superhero. Captain Atom joined the Justice League at the request of the U.S. government, eventually serving as leader of Justice League Europe. During his career, he had a brief romance with Catherine Cobert, developed a friendly rivalry with Firestorm, become involved with and eventually married to Plastique (ironically, a one-time Firestorm foe), battled Major Force (his would-be successor), learned basic heroics from Batman when he briefly lost access to the Quantum Field, and commanded the metahuman forces during the alien invasion of the Alliance.

Random Green Lantern slander… Alright. Aqualad being as good as he was could definitely, with the right trigger, become equally bad. Good and evil, love and hate…all different sides of the same coin (or 2 coins lol). The more extreme you are on one side, you can have that flip and be the other extreme. Then there’s people that have that balance in the gray area.
