I’ll tell you why I don’t like lebron and it has nothing to do with his playing ability. He complains he doesn’t have enough help, while he stands around watching the other team play 5 against 4 and gets upset that they get scored on. He cries to the refs not calling fouls against the defense when he misses a layup and complains to the ref even while the game is still going on. He quit on his team and walked off the court when J.R. Smith lost track of the last few seconds of the game and then losing in OT. He left the bench in a game that he and Davis were sitting out, Because they were beating the Celtics and Davis stayed and celebrated with his teammates. There’s a lot more I don’t like but I’ll save it for some other time.

Comparing them to Love and Kyrie is disrespectul and ignorant. Some of MJs other 'great' teammates include; over the hill Ron Harper, career journeyman BJ Armstrong, Kevin Sellers, a below average bench player, Charles Oakley who had a couple of ok seasons in New York with Ewing and Starks. Toni Kukoc who was a decent shooter and great FIBA player for Croatia, but in the nba a decent roleplayer, Stacey King, a nobody, Wennington and Longley who did their minimal job on the title winning Bulls in the second three-peat. Rest of the players were so bad, you would have a hard time finding anything out about them. Oh and of course Dennis Rodman, who by the time he got to Chicago was washed up and nobody wanted him. David Robinson and Tim Duncan couldn't put up with his antics anymore so they cut him loose to Chicago. Longevity especially on steroids and cheating the game by strong arming organizations into getting him help illegally, doesnt count

Jordan played only 11 full seasons with the bulls. In that time he won 6 championships, 6 finals mvp, 5 mvp's, 1 dpoy, and 10 scoring titles. That last one is huge, 10 titles in 11 years is insane all while being on the defensive first team 9 of those 10 years. So he was the best offensive player in the whole league while also being the best defensive player at his position in the league year after year after year with no one really being close. And if you think Jordan was a ball hog. Jordan has the highest assists in a finals series of any player not named Magic Johnson with 11.4 in his first finals appearance in 91. (he of course holds the record for most ppg in a finals series with 41 ppg in 93 at a time when scoring was much lower than it is today due to defenses being allowed to do more and offensive players allowed to do less than they are allowed now).

It is possible to respect the hell out of Lebron and still think MJ is by far the GOAT. As to longevity, MJ has his own case for longevity in that he played all 82 games in nine seasons and played 80 & 81 in another two. On the other hand, Lebron has only three seasons of 80+ games (80, 81 and 82). As somebody who has watched the entirety of both careers, I will also say Lebron plays in a much softer era without hand checking, fights and an empty lane. The NBA has legislated defense out of the games and has essentially become an extended three point shooting contest. I miss the 70's through 90's NBA.

I don't think the Bulls even won 30 games the year before Michael Jordan's rookie season. That's why it took him years to begin winning. He stuck with Chicago and help developed the players they drafted. They created a dynasty and once they figured out how to win, they won 6 in 8 years. Here's the thing, I don't hate LB, however I do believe that he has the potential to be a great player, especially in the beginning but he was a media hype and ended up buying into it himself causing him not to fully develop into what he could have been, he started pointing too many fingers and making too many excuses, throwing team members under the bus and so on. He is still a really good player but his weaknesses equal out his ability. I do believe that he could have been a great player. Now to MJ, he was hard, he was an ass, no one that knows him or watched him will deny that but he pushed himself for greatness as well as his teammates who also will say the same and while they didn't like him at times, they also admit that he treated practice like a real game and caused them to become better. MJ put the toughness that he had on himself to his teammates because he wanted to win, losing when you give it all you have is one thing, losing because you didn't is another, MJ wanted to win and didn't want to leave room for excuses if he / they lost. Also, the game really was much tougher then, hand checking, big centers staying inside, actual defense being played, not everything being called as a foul. If you tried that "flopping" stuff back then, your team, the other team and the fans would never let you live that down, you manned up and balled, you didn't leave the game to 3 pointers, you got in and dominated.

Bro the fact that you just compared Steve Kerr to Kyrie Irving makes me question your basketball knowledge pre LeChoke James!!! Steve Kerr's comparison to someone that James played with would be more along Mike Miller lines!! Kevin Love was head and shoulders better than Horace Grant!! Kukoc is more that comparison, but regardless Jordan only had Kerr and Kukoc for his last 3 years in Chicago

100% fact that numbers don't give you the WHOLE situation. Flacco has more passing yards than Joe Montana, yet not even in the same stratosphere!! Lebron has more points than everyone but not the go-to scorer that Kareem, Bird, Jordan, Dominique, Kobe, Reggie Miller, and sooo many others were.

We don't hate Lebron strictly as a player, there's no doubt he is a great. It is his attitude, blaming others for failures and taking credit for success, not putting in maximum effort 100% of the time he is on the floor, gerrymandering teams and other blatant disrespect to players/coaches/teams/fans that we hate more than anything. Off the court and on, he is very obviously arrogant, narcissistic, and unwilling to EARN the "damn respect" that he wants so badly. He knows he can't surpass Jordan's otherworldly career and aura, so he recruits everyone and everything he can to smear MJ and tarnish his legacy. If he had kept his mouth shut and not spent the majority of his career chasing rings, he would be held in much higher regard. You have to be A MAN, before you can be THE MAN. Michael never expected more from the people around him than he expected of himself, and he led by example when it came to putting in the work. Even his workout regimen was #1, check out kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4WppYxsgMyGa5o if you want to know just how hard he worked and how driven he was.

We never said Jordan didn't have help... but most Bron fans constantly says he didn't have enough help. Even Lebron said in Miami his 1st year he didn't have enough help even though he had 2 top 10 players and including himself 3/5 of the East allstars starting 5. And that was JUST in Miami. Grant = Love? Kerr = Kyrie? You were ok up to that point. Grant was so good he made a total of 1 all-star appearance in his career. Kerr never made an all-star team ever. Kyrie made 8 all-star appearances and Love made it 5 times. So Kerr and Grant = 1 all-star appearance Love and Kyrie = 13 all-star appearance Not even close.

Lebronze had all the backing to be the greatest, Nike funding and exposure, the league embracing high school players, the Cavs, Heat, Lakers, Team USA, willingness to do anything he wanted. And he came up short. Accumulation of stats to just be ok does not make one great.
@cyber6sapienАй бұрын
My brother. I know you're young. So I'll just leave this with you. Here are the stats from Steve Kerr's *BEST* season in the NBA: 1994-95: 8.2 ppg 1.8 apg 1.5 rpg 77.8% FT *.524* 3PT .527 FG% While Kerr led the league in 3PT shooting percentage that season, he only attempted 2 of them per game. The only reason you even know who Steve Kerr is, is because he coaches the Warriors!

What you have to understand is you ONLY know what you've seen. You haven't been around long enough to have actually seen players from other eras. So that means your knowledge lacks the depth of an old head. 20 years from now, a 15 year old who never saw Lebron play is going to tell you so and so is better than Lebron without having seen Lebron actually play. You'll be able to accurately rate both players, but that 15 year old can't.....cause they don't know. You follow? The year Jordan won DPOY he also lead the league in scoring with 32.5 ppg on 53.8% shooting.

It's just a fact that LBJ loses to MJ on all fronts aside from accumulative numbers and stats. In individual accomplishments he loses. In almost all advanced analytics he loses. If you put generic stats in perspective of their positions and the context of their era (how the game was played), he loses. Peak vs Peak he loses considerably. Winning he loses. Even just their Legacies, as impressive as LBJ's story is, he just loses. No matter how much some people will try and put him on that pedestal, it's never going to stick.
@andrewwilliams3389Ай бұрын
It’s still not a conversation even without Jordan winning a chip with the wizards lol. Let me ask you a question youngin… Would you rather win 500k in 2 years or win 300k in 10 years? I think we all know the answer to that. MJ is the GOAT & it’s not even close. MJ accomplished more in less time! It’s not a discussion. Accumulating stats in a 20 yr span is NOT better than accomplishing more than those stats in 13 yrs. It doesn’t even make sense when you think about it.

Lebron is fortunate to play in the era he's in. LB himself, social media, TV sports personalities , Clutch Sports hype team at fault for trying to push him as GOAT..Drop LB in MJs era without the Social media and hype and he would get swallowed by interior big men and better defense.Ill take Shawn Kemp over him.LB would be forced to develop a better post game. That head down bullrush into a crowded lane would get laid out with no foull call Drop MJ in this era with Social media and the rules in play now there's no discussion...not that theres a case for LB now.Nobody cared about him being all time scorer until Bron reached it. Nobody was talking about Karl Malone being better because he had more points than MJ Almost every analytics stat that wasn't even around when MJ was playing, Mj is better at. Longevity is starting to hurt LB. Been in the league 7yrs+ longer and still chasing awards that matter.LB should ha better improvements in his game at this point in his career.He still has the same weaknesses as before maybe slightly better 3pt% but still below league avg.Mjs body of work is just better than LB..LB on court antics whining and flopping all over, No one fears LB,No one worried when he's in town for a game.The closest measuring stick was Kobe ,and LB played soft against him.MJ ran the PG for about 12 games in 88' had 10 triple doubles for all the Bron fans saying Bron was a better facilitator than MJ. So if he wanted to he could play the PG. Kobe was about the closest to MJ.There isn't any situation in a game where I'm taking LB over Kobe or MJ and a few others except if I need LB to take a charge by flopping. End of rant😂

Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Coby, Brid , Magic There's my top 5. Think Lebron has to argue to get in the top 10. That's the truth. Stat's are a lot easier to get to day. A assist use to be more then 1 dribble assisted ended. They give them away now. Rebound's are much easier then ever. About every one that Lebron gets there's no to contest it but his teammates because of the 3 ball and that's true league wide. Scoring has gotten easier then all of them. Lane wide open most of the time for a Lebron to do his lay ups. Most 3's are open looks and you got coaches say shoot away. Every is easier and that starts to make stat's hole. 3 ball and money ruined the game. I rather tune in a see a war under the hoop then 21 teams jake up 80+ 3's. But that's me.

The 2011 Miami Heat were specifically assembled to make James the keystone of a championship dynasty that was to rule the NBA for a decade or more. Except that's not what happened, because James is not a rock to build around. Look at what's happening now; if the effort doesn't put another tick on a box score, LeBron doesn't bother. He doesn't care about winning ballgames, and it's so blatant that he doesn't care we're starting to wonder if he ever did. I'm serious! Is basketball something LeBron James wants and would do if he wasn't getting paid, or is he playing because that's how he can get rich'n'famous and given a choice he'd do something else?

Steve Kerr isn't even on the same planet as Kyrie as far as help for MJ. Kerr was just a catch n shoot guy that only took about 3 shots a game. He didn't do anything else and only averaged 6 ppg. He was there just to have someone to spot up when they tried to double team MJ. Same as Kevin Love. Ho Grant is more like Bobby Portis who can't take it to the basket and doesn't have a 3pt shot.
