Good witnessing. But i don’t think the gospel was what made him speechless but his own ignorance & because he was nervous through no fault of his own. Lets pray he becomes a powerful witness

You can tell this line of reasoning was totally unfamiliar to Luke. I think he needed to be more engaged before asking him to make this commitment. Hmmm...

Jesus is the answer to all your problems. He came here over 2000 years ago, lived a perfect life and died for your sins and rose again on the 3rd day defeating death itself. Confess and forsake your sins to God, and put your trust in Jesus. He will never forsake or leave you. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and live for and obey Jesus. If you love me, keep my commandments- Jesus. You can overcome because He overcame.

Good to see you back John! Good video but difficult to watch-found myself feeling frustrated expecting more input from Luke. It reminded me of when I went back to the church and wanting my children to come with me so they could learn about God. Maybe Luke comes from a similar family background as my kids were coming from where God was never part of conversation and neither my wife nor I even spoke of church. It was nice to see how you fed Luke the Good News and planted the seed. Bless you John and God bless Luke!

He's just leading people to get the answers he wants instead of letting them answer genuine. Took me a couple videos to pick up in this. Someone who has told like 4-5 lies in their life for legit good reasons or to protect someone isn't a liar. Someone who constantly lies for any reason is a liar. I guess everyone has their own opinion

This is just speculation, but I guess people had better genes back then. Why would it have been then necessary for them to have lived so long? I guess, that could have been a method to pass on Adam and Eve's, Cain and Abel's stories from generation to another orally. The tenth or even later generations would still have had an access to hear the story from the original source. Some have suggested that the change of the climate and environment after the flood caused the change in their lifespan, but I find the bottleneck theory more convincing. The age was reduced to half after the flood, and even shorter after the tower of Babel. Spiritually thinking, like Adam and Eve becoming mortal, turning against God as a whole human kind made our lifespan shorter.
@jarik6259
@jarik6259 3 жыл бұрын
There are of course other theories, as well. The people living this long might have been just exceptions, and that's why their age would have been mentioned. Another theory would be that Adam's age meant the continuation of his seed. Or the Hebrew word for year "shanah" (or "change") would have meant not a change of the new year but of the new month. Genesis 6:3 however tells that the man's age would be no more than 120 years. So, that was the trend to come. Whatever option you take (or non of these), the Jews who passed it on, and later wrote it down, had a reason behind it to write it down at the end.

God is the sustainer of life. He gives it and takes it away. Why does one person live to 20 years old and another to 80? If God wants someone to live 900 years, he just keeps them alive. In those times, keeping someone alive longer means more people to actively populate the earth.

The weirdest thing is not lusting over a woman . If we don't have sexual feelings or thoughts for opposite sex there would be no babies. I'm a believer Christian but always have problem understanding that one . Anyone shed some light on that. Also in the beginning God says everything God made is good could it be Satan the accuser that calls us bad ?

I think it was Spurgeon that said, "You can't stop birds from flying over your head, but you can stop them nesting in your hair." Remember that Jesus was tempted, yet was without sin. Seeing a pretty girl is one thing, but 'having your way with her in your mind' is adultery. God has made us sexual beings and has provided us with a way - marriage - where we can enjoy sex and making babies in a pure way. Lusting after your wife is good. That's not adultery. Adultery is lusting after someone who is not your spouse. Everything God made was good, but the fall has corrupted his creation. - disease and our evil etc is clearly not good, but this came as a result of the fall. Pre-fall, Adam was fully satisfied with and only wanted his wife, Eve, and this was good. After the fall, lust arrived and he started desire other women. His lust for Eve was still good, but the lust for other women was not good.

Why do you preach only half of the gospel??? It’s awesome that you reflect on his sins! But this is not the end of the story! And sending him to a whatever church will not save him! After repentence he needs to get baptised in water and with the Holy Spirit! He needs to born again but repentence only will not save him or any others!!! I really like the way you share this part of the gospel but please share the whole package!!!

Getting baptized is not a requirement of salvation. “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. “- Acts 16:31. Not getting baptized will not take away his salvation. Do not add works to faith for “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” - Ephesians 2:8-9. Go and read the scriptures and understand what salvation means and how it is accomplished.

@@katherinepeterson-roberts Dear sister, „He who believes and is baptised will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them, they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.“ Mark16:16 „Repent, and let every one of you be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.“ Acts2:38 „Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he can not enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, you must be born again.“ John 3:5 „Arise and be baptised, and wash away your sins, and calling on the name of the Lord.“ Acts 22:16 „But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?“ James2:20
