Designers are the only ones who get credit for these things but the craftsmen never get credit. If designers came and their wonderful tiles were still sitting there they won't know what to do. This guy's work deserves recognition.

I told my son when discussing career paths with him ,that tradesman make more than tons of people who go to college . That tradesman will become more and more valued in our society. I work in the school system. I see how they discourage kids from going into the trades. There is no funding attached for the schools to gain by sending them to the trades but tons of money to be made for directing them to college. It's a dirty game.
@Richiebitchiesexyshmexy3 жыл бұрын
@Kevin James masonry originally now doing drywall (fuck working outside lol), jobs are plentiful and only going up because of the lack of quality tradesmen, but one thing about getting into a trade it will be taxing on your body and there will be quite a bit of mathematics depending on which trade you get into so if you don’t enjoy waking up before dawn and being on your feet all day I would not recommend it also you have to enjoy/love your trade otherwise don’t get into it. One more thing if you enjoy working alone best bet would be to get into plumbing,electric,tiling big bucks are there too. Good luck on your quest

Hello! Im a mason we do tiles too, I have to say he's doing it VERY wrong and the tiles would end up breaking if you bump into them! He puts way too much glue on the back and he not close to the wall at all, which he should be. His cutting techniques is amazing tho, never see that before! Im not trying to shit on him, but trying to prevent anyone else from putting them on the walls like that, if you need a few extra inches or centimeters, put more plaster on! Thanks! :D Edit: I saw him to the top/roof tiles never see that either, very smart, but you star form the middle to your cut get equally big on the sides! And please PLEASE wear safety glasses when cutting them with the angle grinder, it will seriously hurt and damage your eyes!

His talent is absolutely not any better than any professional using good tools tailor designed for the task at hand. The software developers are the smart ones, they come up with clever ways of accomplishing tasks, not the users.

Having the skill and the experience and tools makes anyone a master of their craft. From what I can see in this video this guy does not live in the u.s. . He was probably taught by his father as a young child to do this type of work and that's why I at a young age he has become a master of his craft. This is what people in the United States do not understand when you go out and give a bit on flooring whether it's wood or tile they want you to do it cheap. Because they feel that is not a college degree type of job that you do not deserve to make 30 or $50 an hour for your skill. Laying tile it's a hard job to do you kneeling down you standing up you kneeling down and you standing up and you picking up heavy materials at the end of the day your back is hurting. I used to do hardwood floors and tile and I had to stop doing it because every time I went out and gave estimates people wanted me to do it for $15 an hour and no matter how many videos and photos of quality jobs that I've done they do not want to pay my price.

Wish I had and knew about those tools...my tile jobs wouldn’t have taken me as long and wouldn’t look like I was living in 100BC.

"Young man with tons of tools specifically made for this job and tons of practice look how good he is" like come on. He has tools. That's half the job.

The really impressive thing is starting those holes without the bit skittering across the tile. Those hole saw bits are a pain.

It’s easy when you start on an angle and wobble it as you drill...
