We're so used to see kpop groups from big companies hit high sales number just because they have the privilege coming from big companies especially the big 4. Young Posse steadily gaining new fans and over time, they probably will get higher and higher album sales.

This is seriously just about macaroni and cheese. No need to read more into it. It was written by a child. This song reminds me of Doja Cat Moo Cow song. Just ridiculous and cool and funny......with that being said, listen to their song ROTY. Suuuuuch a throwback to De La and older Kanye. One of the best songs of that genre I've heard in years.

Totally get what you’re saying…a lot of people don’t like admitting it but majority of these idols get the “rapping” position because they don’t excel at vocals or dancing. Even though I’m not really a fan of their music, ima give them their credit…those girls definitely got a passion for rapping and you can definitely tell through their skills 👏🏾

Young Posse the newest group under DSP Media. They are the junior group of KARD (both groups are under DSP). Their MVs are directed by Ben Proulx said his inspiration for their videos are Loo ey toons and old school nickelodeon. He is well known for his American MVs. He directed basically every Joyner Lucas video..

Young Posse is truly a group that surprises me there concept is so wildly weird that it's both overwhelming and captivating I see alot of people say it too much for them but this group knows what it's doing instead of watching there MV's once it forces you to watch it a second and third time to grasp what's going on and while on first watch it looks confusing on a second watch you get what's going on and it's genius But yes pls do check out there B-sides there TT are more heavily rap focus and there b-sides showcases both there rap and vocal abilities also this album meaning is really intriguing rather than them fighting other groups for the ROTY title it's a play on them saying we are going to make our own ROTY title instead of needing people to validate them for ROTY

My personal theory is that Sunhye was just really hungry when she wrote Macaroni Cheese ... to quote Sigmund Freund: sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Then, it seems that they start of the title track with something ... cheesy ... ? ... and then on the B-sides go into their personal experiences: OTB on the debut, and on the XXL album there is the ROTY track (which I really like) them spitting about their personal thoughts. Macaroni Cheese and XXL where directed by the same guy, Ben Proulx. Ben actually did a reaction to the first reactions that popped up in YT in the first two days after the XXL release and explains some things in there; that big guy who is in both clips is a real life pal of him who is 6'6" and literally goes by the name Massoman. And I agree ... there are rappers that are technically really good - but simply treat rap as a different form of singing. And there are rappers who see rap as more than just a technique. And the Young Posse girls are legit in that. (Just as a sidenote, when you listen to the other tracks on the album - Sunhye not only writes the lyrics, is main rapper and main dancer - she can actually sing as well). I'm officially impressed. For me, they are indeed the rookies of the year. You should definitely check out the other songs on the XXL album.

if you ever plan on reacting to them again, i really recommend reacting to some of their bsides and specially the performance video for OTB which has the full song, the title is 'OTB' MOVING CAM Ver., the our summer memories mv was just a special gift to fans. young posse up is also a remixed version of their bside POSSE UP, so you could check the original version out too if you feel like it, the members Sunhye, Yeonjung and Jiana also wrote their own verses. thank you for the reaction!!!!!!

I gotta drop the link to Verbal Jint, probably one of the most OG Korean rappers out there. He's been around for a long minute and has collabs with damn near any and everyone. You can tell it's about the music for him. These are two of my favorites from him. Young Posse Nice!👍 My favorite styles of kpop are the cute / innocent ones & the really crazy ones. The director of all their mvs (Ben Proulx) said his inspiration for his work for young posse are Looney Tunes & the old Nickelodeon TV shows. ‘dnd’ and ‘skyline’ off their newest ep XXL showcase their vocals and when i say they ALL can sing i mean it. these girls are an amazing group of all-rounders and they’re definitely not given enough credit in the rookie world. they deserve more support and i can only hope that their next comeback will establish a solid fanbase for them, i think xxl caught a lot of people’s attention but sadly not enough to stick around for the long haul.

To tell you a little about Verbal Jint, he's a first gen Khiphop rapper. He's considered one of the most influential rappers in Korea bc he was one of the rappers that pioneered rhyming in Korean in Korean hip hop. If you listen to rap aongs before him, they don't rhyne, they just talk to a rhythm. NSW Yoon is a newer rapper who is influenced heavily by UK Drill.

Some of my favorite hip hop songs by kpop artists are 1cm Taller Than You and Sleep In The Car by MAMAMOO(RBW owns DSP and YP did a pre-debut show with MMM+ and others btw) because they're fun songs about their lives without cliches. To me it gives more Underground than Parody, and similar vibe esp with Macaroni Cheese. I know there are a lot of good idol rappers, but there are definitely plenty of kpop songs that make me wish more groups would try to do the rap on the same level as the singing and dancing.

Your video was my first intro to them. The songs are very hit or miss with me. Half the songs I really enjoyed and the other half felt like parody 😂 Also pinkpatheress, Doja cat, and summer walker are all pretty great. Mix it up and listen to some western artist once in a while

24:26 I don't know if you know this already, but in this video there were several references to Seo Taiji and Boys, specifically their song "Come Back Home," which came out in 1995. "Come Back Home" is one of their most widely known songs, and is premium 90s hip hop. They sampled part of the beat, and there are references to it in the choreography as well. BTS did a remake "Come Back Home," and they performed it with Seo Taiji at his 25th debut anniversary concert back in 2017.
