I think the beautiful thing of Swedish to English translation is the fact that the sentence structure is so similar between the two. So that singing it in English is actually a lot easier comparatively to songs normally translated from another language.

If they play it real, the result should be that Wille stays Crown Prince, eventually becomes King, does not father any children, and the Crown then goes to August or his children after Wille's death. They might play with the idea of adopted children or in-vitro fertilization for Wille and his partner (who, realistically, will by then no longer be Simon).

The tricky thing about August is that his scandal, now about to erupt depending on what Sara tells the police, will terminally invalidate his ascension to the throne. The 'palace strategists' for sure see him as the impending option, especially after Wille makes everything public, but they'll swallow their judgement when they find out about the video. The question is, these people aren't stupid, don't they know already? How could the Queen have realised by herself it was August. My bets are on the public outcry and him even being interrogated, that is no moral figure for a nation

@@alexb9969 Oh, the council already know. A public outcry over August would obviously force him back into the shadows. But usually the line of succession to a European throne is not something easily changed, and may have been set for centuries (Sweden's Act of Succession is from 1810 and was changed to allow the first-born to inherit the throne from their parent regardless of gender in 1979). That is what annoyed me about this angle: In reality, there is no way August succeeds Wille's mother unless Wille is dead or has personally abdicated. By the same token, August could not just be removed from the succession. In this regard, it's just dramatic fiction.

Now, there was the possibility of Wilhelm abdicating stated in the show. In this entire context, Season 3 can be darker, and this births states in me

*This is what needs to happen in Season 3:* ➊ They (School, Royal Court and Press) need to resolve the "pandemonium" after Wilhelm looks back at Simon waiting for his approval (smile). Possibly finish his speech *as he wants to, not what was written down for him.* The school, Press and Royal Family need to complete the ceremony to the satisfaction of all (remember, this is being televised to all of Sweden on behalf of the Royal Family). ➋ The school [Principal/Headmistress] needs to apologize to Simon for not using his song since they praised it at the Ball. ➌ The Royal Court needs to fire/remove Jan-Olof because of his treatment of Simon regarding Simon's new song. ➍ The Queen agrees to keep Wilhelm as her Crown Prince to ascend the Throne. Sweden needs to work out the "Royal Heir" situation to allow Wilhelm to be able to accept the Crown after the Queen.
