I think I understand why there's 2 different George's. One is the real version, and the other is Sheldon's grief and anger towards his father's death, which he probably didn't know how to handle, and then there's Mary's she was completely heartbroken and I'm sure over time of dealing with Sheldon she also started to share the negative aspect of George that's my thought.

Have missed out on the funeral not by choice, where can I see the whole funeral completely? Plus I’d like to see the “memorial” to follow. I’m bummed that I couldn’t see it for situations out of my control. Wanted to see them both really badly. But abc doesn’t replay any of their episodes! Same for citytv too! Missed out on Chicago Med & Fire; totally forgot they were playing while I was occupied. Now I feel I’ve lost out completely! Ugh 😣

How & why did the writers leave the viewers on such a sad note. We need a little bit of happiness these days with family shows like Young Sheldon! George was a good role model that we need more of these days. I'm not going to watch any more shows by these writers. Molaro & Lorre. They might kill off whole families when they want to get rid of some characters. Not only the audience was left 2:44 in shock but the characters were upset also. They truly enjoyed playing their roles & were great at it also. Why couldn't they just continue their roles as they got older? Have Sheldon make guest appearances every once in a while. Maybe just change the name of the show. Call it The Cooper Family maybe.

George and Georgie were the two characters. I enjoyed the most on the show. Sorry to say I want to be respectful but Sheldon got older. He was no longer cute and I really wish he wouldn’t have been in so many episodes.

Obviously, those negative comments about George in The Big Bang Theory were written before Young Sheldon was written, and we probably wouldn't have liked Young Sheldon so much if George Sr had been a despicable character. (unless, in writing a memoir, Sheldon's memories of George changed in order to make him more of an ideal father than he actually was). In fact, all of the characters seemed to have changed a bit in Young Sheldon. Mary and Memaw became nicer characters. Georgie seems to be a responsible one-woman man with his wife and baby. Even Sheldon 's sister seems smarter with great potential (perhaps more people smart than book smart).

They did not have to kill George at this time. They could have had him start his new job and prepare for the move. This would have left the viewers on a positive note.
