It would have been hilarious had Leonard looked at a photo of Sheldon's dad, and realised that he resembled his certain old high school bully a little TOO much... 🤔

Meta reason: The bully and the father were the same actor. In-universe reason: George Senior used to be just like the bully before he grew up out of it somewhere after he met Mary.

Seeing Memaw in YS comparing to how she was portrayed in TBBT really makes me think that we’re talking about two different characters, and somehow YS Memaw looks to me more realistic.

They really struck casting old, especially with Older and Younger Georgie. Emily Osment has stated that they're trying to get Jerry O'Connell involved in the upcoming spin-off, maybe in a flash forward to older Georgie and his Tire King empire?

I would say Missy feels like she changed the most from a personality/character perspective She’s much more affectionate and appreciative of being Sheldon’s twin sister as opposed to her younger self, who is far more cynical and cruel to her brother more often

I like to think that once Sheldon moved to Caltech, she started to miss Sheldon. Also, when Sheldon was gone, she's feeling regret on what she have tried to do.

Fun fact, the woman who plays Sheldon’s mom on the Big Bang theory is the same person who is the voice actor for Andy’s mom in all of the Toy Story movies

The characters certainly had a chance to redeem themselves in the prequel especially George sr.

Sheldon is the same in both shows. That's what truly matters. He's why I started watching both shows and he's why I continued watching both show to the end. I do think that Jim played the character better... especially later on. Iain's acting wasn't so good in the last few seasons. But it's the same basic character. Mary is also pretty much the same. One difference is that she knows about hunting in The Big Bang Theory, which wouldn't make sense because she never did outdoors stuff on Young Sheldon. Georgie is pretty much the same. The 2 actors even look the same. Missy is very different. I liked her better on The Big Bang Theory than on Young Sheldon. Mee Maw is VERY different. It's night-and-day. George on Young Sheldon doesn't behave very similarly to the way he was described on The Big Bang Theory. Billy Sparks also doesn't behave on Young Sheldon the way he was described on The Big Bang Theory except in the Young Sheldon Pilot.
