Bay Noland-Armstrong You are correct. Its not their voice, its the particular notes they use. These high notes and flows are often found in subcontinental music. (India , pakistan Bangladesh)) Their parents are pakistanis. And they do know a lot of subcontinental songs. Its in their roots. Hence the utilization in western music.
