This kind of thing was talked about a lot in the early 2000s, where clothing companies sent celebs clothes to wear because when all you fans see them in them, you go out and buy them to match :P They prob saw him joke about loving her jacket, and sent him his own. It also gets the celeb to go back into their store if they like their clothing, and they will buy more. Kind of like how stores send us samples, but on a much bigger scale lol
