My favorite thing about your videos is that each one has you using tools you built previously. Tools making tools making tools making tools.

My takeaway is that you demonstrate making heirloom planes with tools common in a lot of woodworking shops. That makes emulation possible for your audience without investment in metal fabrication tooling. Well done and thank you!

The steel surface of the planer guarantees precision and longevity. You presented an impressive process of construction, sharpening and polishing of a planer knife and other assortments. Admirable work, congratulations 👌.

I really like your style of plane! I have been contemplating making one, but the other designs I do not appeal to me. I like that you use screws to secure the sole to the base of the body, then flattened the plane afterwards. Beautiful finish, also.

Dear Sir, As always, your planers are hand made with a great deal of finesse. I am somewhat surprised that with the kind of high standard of your work you do not sell them to local craftsmen. The quality of your work is irreproachable & would give it's user an immense pleasure using them for many years to come. Kind regards.

I'm curious about one detail, how come you didn't countersink the bottom plates? I would think that the heat generated from leveling the screws would affect the epoxy bond negatively, i may be wrong though. Regardless of that, what a remarkable result, that design of plane is one i would love to have in my own shop.

Very nice looking plane(s)! I have a question: This is the only plane making video that I have seen (and I have seen quite a few) where a plane with a steel sole but with wooden sides is made. A lot of times the metal sole is dovetailed to metal sides (which also complicates the process of getting the bed angle accurate by a lot). Since the method shown in this video seems far easier, why is it not more common?
