What I liked about the Terra Cotta is that it’s soft, like the softness of your Sage and Pink you’ve used... and will still work great with those deeper colored accessories you have that are in the Morrocan Sky type color...

At tip for painting with the paint sprayer is to do light coats and let that coat dry and just repeat until the coat of paint is nice and even if you spray too much paint it will puddle and do what you were talking about. You probably aren’t going to paint any more ceilings but it’s a good thing to know😂

And you were to close. That is also why you to had so much paint spray back on you. You will be doing your office and bedroom(s) and these are great and hopefully helpful tips. At Harbor Freight respirator mask are $17.00-27.00. Filters are about $8.00; so so worth it for your lungs and skin. I am very much enjoying your excitement in fixing up your home.

@@honeyharmon6571 yes way too close and way too much paint at a time. I always have the same problem with spray cans of paint. Always so tempting to just do it a bit heavier so you don't have to do it again.

Also, my husband suggested turning the pressure down on your sprayer. Hope it helps!

I've been seeing a lot of people make this mistake lately, especially those new to DIY. MASKS ARE NOT RESPIRATORS. Please get a respirator. Things that would have made this project easier on you from the beginning: Wet vac Respirators Goggles Fans Using longer strips of tape Longer strokes with the sprayer Can't wait to see the final results. The white really made the patio pop already.

I think you should do both colors on the floor. Do the Moroccan sky as the base and then the Terra Cotta Clay as the stencil color. I think that would be very nice.

I think if you painted the floor Moroccan Sky & then used Terra Cotta Clay for the stencil that would look really pretty. You could even do the smaller opening in the stencil the white color maybe? just a thought! So excited to see it all come together - can't wait for part deux!

I think you should put the projector along the window side so when it's not in use, the couch and chairs are facing towards the view, not the inside of your house. Not sure if it would work that way but I think it'd be way better. Can't wait to see the floor next week! I like the idea of using both with the stencils like others have mentioned :)

I like the Moroccan Sky. It’s a nice contrast to the other color if you decide to use the terra-cotta clay pots as decorations. Also…I think since you love Ghana so much…the Moroccan Sky could be a nice reminder or memory of some of the places you visited while in Africa. I noticed they use those colors a lot so either color will be fabulous!

Love Moroccan Sky. Paint sprayer tip nice smooth stokes up and down. Light coat then go back and do another coat. That will stop the puddling etc. Also spray about 4-6 inches away. That stops puddling also.

Dripping means too much paint in that coat. Two light coats is best. Roller paint cleanup is called back brushing. Nice transformation. Glad you are going with a little color on the floor. I like color #1.

I think the stencil and stencil color you have chosen is going to look very nice, too. A little fyi- My parents have a sunroom that was built many years after the original build of their home, and includes no ductwork for heating and cooling. The space is mainly used as an overflow for larger family gatherings. They’ve found a portable heater and air conditioner combo to be just the berries to use during those few times a year.

Both paint colors for the floor! Use the darker one for all over color. Use the lighter one for your stencil. Put the lighter, white color in the big, center cutout of your stencil, then use the lighter terra cotta color for the surrounding cutouts. I think it’ll look great!

I’d say use the darker color for the floor. It would be a bigger contrast with the white paint you are planning to use.
