Thank you so much for many this video. I wanted to understand how to do my nails. I’ve been working on it for a few years. Now, I understand where I was wrong on creating the nail itself.

I'm having issues with sculpting a shorter stiletto/almond pinching the form to a shorter length makes the nail tilt upwards, how do i counteract this?

Ok so I have a client with “bird beak” shaped nails what is your suggestion for stress point fractures she wears xl stilettos do I move the apex forward more or back more
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
The stress area/apex should always be positioned in the center of the natural nail. To find where the stress area should be, look at the nail with no product on it and lightly press down on the free edge. You will see the area behind the smile line turn a lighter/whitish color. This area is the stress area, so any time pressure is put on an extension, this is where the nail would be prone to breakage. You want to make sure this area is built up thick enough to support the XL length.

Question..why do you guys prefer to build the free edge instead of gluing on nail tips?
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
There are several reasons... The bond between the acrylic or gel to the nail is stronger than that of glue and a tip, so the nail is less likely to separate at the free edge if the glue breaks down. Additionally, acrylic or hard gel is stronger than the plastic tips so a full acrylic/gel nail can be more durable than the tip with overlay. Also, tips are a "one size fits most" service and not every nail will fit a tip, so with sculpting, you can customize the nails/forms to fit even wide nails or flat nails.

Are the towels you use reusable? If so what is the best way to clean them? Worried about the acrylic wiped on them ruining the washer.
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
No, they are not reusable.

Another thing is I like the long square "old school" shape so when putting the form on I have a difficult time on the pinching the form too narrow 🥴

This is a beautiful shape but not for me. I can’t wear long nails. I still want to do them for the fun of it lol. Thank you for sharing this.

Greg, please make your brush in smaller sizes. It’s truly the best brush I’ve ever used but I really need sizes 8/10 pleaassseee
@LimeLady10109 ай бұрын
I second this! I need a size in between this one and the metal handled acrylic brush.
