As a beginner this was one of the most helpful videos! I’ve been trying to get skinny nails but Ive been over filing them to the point that’s it’s not a gradual tapper and I’m left with a notch. Shaping is so much harder than it looks.

Me neither. In almost 30 years I’ve really had some bullshit nails but the ‘foreign chop shops’ are the only thing around. I’d be willing to pay double for someone that actually knew what they were doing including sidewalls and knowing the proper place to build up the apex of my nail.

@@modaciouslav4792 I absolutely would pay a premium price for a great set of nails. I know their game is making money but sometimes it’s also about repeat business and that means you have to give your customers good service. That’s not found around my area.

Okay so I’m still confused when I hear straight out of the side walls I hear the lower arch and underside of the side wall needs to literally come out at 180 degrees on the nail. how is it possible to do when you have to make your side walls come up to taper it ? I have wondered this forever but didn’t know how to word it, I hope that makes sense.
@modaciouslav47924 жыл бұрын
I’m with u.. if u file all of the sides of the nail from the bottom you’re going to flatten out the nail. It’s one thing that if I see my nail tech start to do I’ll literally pull my hand away. Or when they place the file flat under it and do both sides at once. I end up with flat nails that tend to flick upwards and they’re ridiculously ugly. I STILL don’t have a good nail person after getting my nails done for almost 30 years
@juliamelker97094 жыл бұрын
My problem is that ladies go out with a new set and straight sidewalls, and after 3 weeks they come in with pieces missing out of that sidewalls. Then I want to file it straight and I probably create or make the existing nodge worse. How to fix that? Btw I love this video! Thankyouuu
