The future of African hip hop is in good hands. What is so important, special, and unique about Capetonian hip hop is that it is uniquely South African. It does not seek to imitate American hip hop. You can hear a Capetonian MC and immediately tell that they from Cape Town. They are proud of their language, culture, accent and sound. They should not lose that. We would love to see a Shaheen and YoungstaCPT collaboration.
