Love watching this build. We've learned a lot without the wasted "lifestyle" stuff most people try, unsuccessfully, to throw in. We saw the floorplan overview. Do you have more detailed drawings you want to share of the floorplan? Understand if you don't want to give to much away. You do you.

Atta boy Jeff!! But wait.... I thought I heard you mention "selling all the toys"..... whaaaaat? And I love how your camera coincidentally picks up every time you nearly fall off your ladder. LOL.

Another good video. The gasket for the Maxxair fan is an elegant solution but I still think that you can achieve the same seal at a fraction of the cost with butyl tape (It's a little more work though)

1. A small wind deflector to prevent the wind getting under the panels when driving. 3. Why have a grey water tank?

Nice job on both the build and the video. One wee question if I may on the solar panel install. Maybe its obvious and somehow I missed it, but can you explain how you are able to attach the nuts to the underside of the solar panel screws?

Would you consider putting an electronic ball valve on the P trap so that you don't have to get underneath the van to do so?

Hello Dares. What a surprise! video without waiting! a doubt: I received some samples of 80/20 profile, 40mm, I found it somewhat reinforced, I think using it for the van is oversized, which profile are you using? I'm thinking of using the 25mm or maximum 30mm profile. I also received samples of the sheets of HPL material that I'm thinking of using to close the cabinets, it has a super resistant 4mm thickness and a great finish, besides being light and easy to place. TKS

How about safety? CO detectors, fire extinguishers and multiple window egress for you and Winston. What about a vicious dog sound track you could play in an emergency to keep all those cougars from mauling you in the mountains….unless, of course that’s the plan. What’s your stereo and entertainment system going to look like? so much to look forward to!

Would it be possible to have underbody water tanks during winter but use the residual heat from the hydronic heating system to keep the water and pipes above freezing?
@DaresDrives3 жыл бұрын
That is definitely a valid option. But it does mean you would need to make the loop larger meaning it requires more coolant in turn could make the heating up process take a little longer... Thanks for watching and commenting.

Thought to myself, right Neil, let's get involved. Get on the Mercedes website and buy a van. Problem number one. You can't buy a 4x4 Mercedes van in the UK. Whats that about?
@DaresDrives3 жыл бұрын
Perfect, the plan is working... Yes go get it! As for 4X4 sprinters I have seen lots converted in the UK. I am positive you can find one.. I will say they are tough to get your hands on even here in Canada.. Thanks for watching and commenting.

For the life of me I cannot understand why a manufacturer has not made a seal that works and looks better than gooping the Sh@$ on your roof to seal the fans (or any holes)...come on really.. there is not a pre cut seal that heat seals itself down to shape and seals the gap. It just looks awful...AWESOME vid..
@DaresDrives3 жыл бұрын
Yeah and if you watch other videos of the dicor sealant being applied, you will be very impressed with how it looks on ROAMR... The positive is that it's on the roof and almost nobody will ever see it and I know we will stay dry inside... Thanks for watching and commenting.

Is the 80/20 weatherproof? (Can you have it outside the van & it won't corrode?)

80/20 is a full aluminum product. So yes, safe for outdoor use.. Thanks for watching and commenting.
