This is a great idea but when Karissa mentioned SJDS that set off my spidey senses. Unfortunately, SJDS does not have a great reputation because there are too many gringos there who try to rip off foreigners who are new to Nicaragua. I have been following Scott Allan Miller and I will contact Scott when I'm ready to come visit Nicaragua.

Sounds like a great opportunity and experience for certain people. But If I make it to Nicaragua, It will be to come and do work on your coffee plantation. I'm a 30 year red-seal carpenter as well as a jack of all trades. I also grew up on a farm here in Alberta, Canada, so I'm no stranger to hard work, thinking outside the box, and simple living. But I'm older and life has slowed down for me and I'm a little soft lol. I need some Arabica boot camp!
