When setting a password, aim for the best. Long is one criteria, but there are a few more.

Main reason for rejecting 2FA is because of needing an additional piece of equipment. Not everyone is comfortable that way and not everyone actually has the additional device (smartphone or cellular flip phone). Yes, true! There are a few people who still cannot handle a cellular telephone.

Leo, I have a question about password managers. As an example, I have a current password for something important. What happens to that password when I move to a password manager. I tried a password manager in the past but with that original password for the site still in play, I don't understand what to do about that

Depends on what "something improtant" is. When you start using a password manager for web sites, for example, they will normally just notice and save the information for each site you log into, as you log into them.

@@askleonotenboom Something important is banking and things like that. Thank you for that information although when I was using Last Pass, the original password never changed on any of my accounts and that was a concern. At that point I dumped Last Pass and changed my passwords to longer random passwords of my own.

Thanks Leo. Another vert informative video and things I never would of thought of. It brings up a dumb question to me. Perhaps very dumb. If it would take 968 centuries to crack a 14 random character password, why couldn't one use a 20 random character password and use the same one for everything? Go ahead, light me up. 😁 JimE

Because cracking isn't the only way passwords get exposed. One good keylogger, for example, could capture that password, and the hackers could run around to all your other accounts. :-)
