Abroad in Japan is by far my favourite KZbin channel and by far the most underrated channel on KZbin. Everything about his videos down to the cinematography, script, information, humour and sarcasm makes Chris' channel so perfect. It pretty unique come to think of it. And Chris is just a really nice guy, on Twitter and Facebook he'll interact with fans, answering questions, talking in general. I feel weird saying this but I'm dead proud on how far he has come. And let us not forget the amazing man he brought into our lives, Natsuki. Well done Chris, there's only more things to come ❤

In my experience, I tried to have a great attention grabber. I mostly followed the outline that was given just to make sure my professor gives me the points for a good grade. Speak towards the audience and not directly read your cue cards (a good handful of my classmates did that). At the end of the speech offer the audience a challenge. Say something that would help make your message relevant to your audience. One thing I should've done was to practice my speeches before speech day.

KZbin = the world talking to the world. This is a definitively positive thing that I hadn't considered - as much online palaver seems wholly negative, people trying to be mean to each other under cover of anonymity. But of course this needn't be the only way we interact. I feel a bit of hope now, the internet as a friendly place, for learning and sharing. Thanks TedxTalks and Chris Broad.

This is actually the first time I'm seeing this video after being subbed to Chris for 2 years, and this is probably one of the best and most inspiring Ted Talks I've seen

I was laughing so much during this talk, and I was wondering why the audience wasn't. Then I remembered that they were all Japanese and probably didn't understand most of it.

No, you can slightly hear them laughing when Chris tells a joke. It’s because the microphone is turned down so you don’t really hear the audience that much. It’s not a new thing.

Right chris..you told the very right thing. Before i came to Japan, one of my best places want to visit includes the cat island. And now i m in Japan and also at Tohoku but i never knew the cat island is exist very near me until i watched your video. I reviewed the tohoku regional guidebook when holidays near. but not so many amazing places found. but after viewing your channels i first knew Tohoku is amazing not only sendai, also yamagata, aomori, i knew more. really thank you. you r really amazing.

It feels weird to see him do a TED Talk in 2017, because it feels like his success came some time after that.
