@Beatsbasteln3 күн бұрын
filtering lows and highs a lot before adding compression to the vocals is great because it makes it easier for the compressor to create an even overall volume than when it has to fight with the whole spectrum, where it would probably overreact to lowend rumble and certain other transients. and if you want to keep the whole spectrum you can still just use a multiband compressor to expand on the same concept, like you basically do with OTT as well

For anyone wanting to try the short delay trick: It'll work as long as it's under 60ms, past that it sounds like an echo.
@GBRen-xc2ow2 күн бұрын
While I would say that not all songs need vocals (I mean, there are plenty of songs and stuff that doesn't have vocals and sometimes have one or few instruments altogether like solos, duets, etc. like piano), there's just something about hearing voices and singing along that make it really nice. I haven't experimented with vocal chops, but I've been experimenting with acapellas. Plus, I still feel like my room isn't fit for recording nor do I have a good sounding mic, but I feel like there's a plugin out there that can help reduce the room sound. Still though, I'll probably learn some ways to use vocals whether as is for pop or stuff or creatively as chops.

I saw that “comment a vid idea” so I have an idea! I’m not too familiar with fl studio, but I do have an rc 505 loopstation that has Granular Delay. When applied, it makes the track it’s applied to sound super grainy and crunchy. Idk if there’s an equivalent to that in fl studio but it’s definitely an idea

I think the main reason it hasn’t been uninvented yet is because all alto clef players and sheet music that uses it will probably fall apart as a whole. Also it’s the only clef where Middle C is in the middle of the clef.
