The best thing I ever read about narcissism is this… ‘an accusation from a narcissist is actually an admission”. I remember this every time my NM throws a nasty comment in my direction and I can quietly smile to myself and go about my day knowing a little bit more about her and feeling a whole lot less guilty because of her mind games. Healing is a wonderful thing ☺️

So true. They also restate over and over again positive attributes that they don't possess. For example, my son's father always says, "im a great father" or "im a great man of God," or " I've done nothing but try to work with you." He tries to convince himself of these things, and i believe he is delusional and actually believes it because he is not self-aware and has zero empathy for other people.

I am so very sorry that you have had to deal with this!! So you can best believe that the narcissist in your life felt that he was lazy and useless, but he projected that onto you. I hope you are taking good care of yourself and not replaying this abuse in your head. Try hard to replace his words with words of affirmation.
