needless to say, wear monitor headphones or listen to this on proper monitors. i am talking here about the Tube Screamer, it seems that a large number of guitarists use it to boost everywhere anywhere and always. In reality this pedal should be used in very few cases, it extremely colors your guitar sound and change it. There are few and real "transparent" boost pedals, thats what you shall use most of your time, even if you put two beside each other on your pedal board. thats if you wanna keep your guitar tone unchanged.

The Tube Screamer isn't a boost. It's an overdrive that boosts the mids and cuts out the low end. Everyone knows that. It's used to tighten up the sound and make it cut through a band mix.

I never said its a boost pedal. But eventually as you said people use to boost the guitar, the gain and the tone. My point in vid if watched all, one should preserve the original guitar tone if they want more gain. The whole concept of "cut through the mix" is wrong, because mixing the guitars depends on the tone of the other instruments. So mixing the whole instruments of the song are connected to each other, and the guitars will not remain untouched. They will be tweeked accordingly to "cut" and be clear. In a live situation the ts helps, thats for sure thats why in the video i said use it to boost ur solos to come to the front but not the rhythm because it changes the nature of the tone and soften it. Why having i certain amp tone if the pedal infront of it gonna destroy the tone you did on the amp?

Yes I do agree, the TS must be used in very limited situations. I have the Xotic RC at the beginning of my signal chain...what a pedal!

I use several types of boosts/overdrives most are made from Milos Popovic in Serbia. Always subtle is the best way like you show. Subbed because of the Criss Oliva tribute video ;) But seriously?? Metal in the Middle East??? Cool! (From Canada here)

Hi nice to know a pedal maker that i never heard of before. im gonna check them out. Yes, of course man there are many Middle Eastern bands that do originals and release albums, and there were metal cover bands in middle east, especially in the Levant region, since the 80s.

@Hollowbethynam-vz6ug Depending if you want a tighter type of gain vs your preamp tubes. You dont use a wah? No delay? Gate? Compression? All a scam right? lol

There are very few mistakes when using a Tube Screamer, IMO. It sounds fantastic with just about everything.

I just see it makes the rhythm sound much softer...takes out the balls. I use it only with soloing. Thats the whole idea of the vid.

Thanks for the video, but a Tube Screamer isn't a transparent boost.

Sure it isnt. But many use it to boost everything always. I only use it to boost solos. Imo it makes rhythm sound much softer. Thats the whole idea of the vid.

brother, you just stated the obvious after clickbaiting people. The tube screamer IS FOR SOLOS. They make no bones about it. I see you only have 102 subscribers, so a bit of constructive criticism, don't do this kind of BS. seasoned musicians just laugh at you. Also, learn more technical chops for demos. Peace and Love

Believe it or not, there are tons of people and known bands who use it for heavy sound boosts, not only for solos. Ive seen machine head, ola englund and many others do that and i think its wrong (my opinion). So i guess its not obvious for everybody. Ive just started 2 months ago, so hopefully it grows. Cheers and thanks

@@Rudimessiah yea brother, but they are all playing very technical mids boosted shred rhythm so it is a warranted boost. Let's be honest, when you're talking very technical metal, its basically solo work. Zakk Wylde plays both, so did Dime. Remember melodic metal is only 7 notes a part. Hope your channel grows. :)

@SB-ht6kf Thanks man. We went too far in this subjective issue, at the end its a matter of taste and opinion. Regarding "more technical chops". Check my vids on Savatage, Death, Machine Head... When reviewing guitar gear in my opinion it should fast and straight to the point, showing how much playing muscles i have would be really boring.
