as a person who has actually had a stalker, its really difficult to not get caught in their web. both of my stalkers started out as new friends, and they intentionally preyed on my desire to be kind to them. genuine creeps like this are excellent at manipulating others into feeling bad for them in order to both bond, and get permission to violate boundaries. its why lovebombing and gaslighting are such effective tactics, they intentionally prey upon social norms, conflict avoidance, and a fear of hurting others in order to make the victim feel powerless and confused.

I know that this video was just to show some Easter eggs in one of the many routes of this game, but I cannot put into words how UNCOMFORTABLE this dialogue made me feel 😬 I hate being mean to characters in rpgs, even if they are supposed to be portrayed as an eventual bad guy. It’s just not in my nature! I genuinely think YB is ridiculously cute and I wouldn’t want to hurt his feelings, as ridiculous as that sounds. I understand that this is a good tactic to get rid of a stalker irl, but as this is a fictional character that I find endearing, I WILL THROW HANDS FOR THIS BEAN!
